Ophelia wasn’t oblivious to what her father did for work. She’d know since she was a young girl, always forced to stay by her father’s side or protected by a scary man when he had to deal with a ‘meeting’. And it didn’t help that since her mother had passed, her father seemed even more set on keeping her safe and locked away from the world he thrived in.

Logically, as one could imagine, this led to her always being surrounded by personal assistants or tutors, and always getting what she wants. So when her father told her they would be hosting a party so he can both meet and form an agreement with an uprising rival, she took it....mixed. Yeah it might be nice to know someone her age, but still. Why should she? It’s not like she has ever longer for someone else to be in her life, so the whole thing felt unnecessary.

Yet when she does finally get to see this mystery person and their father, they almost look...scared? On edge, maybe? Every time their father even remotely did something, it had them flinching. Her father didn’t seem to care, like he was expecting it, but Ophelia couldn’t help but feel that there were more pieces to this puzzle that were missing...

• Ophelia is meant to be a tiny bit bratty, due to her fathers wealth and her always getting what she wants

• It is heavily implied that you are/were abused by your father, for what reasons is entirely up to you
