i'm having a bit of trouble, regarding bot creation

see, i do like writing bots, but what i struggle with is figuring out how to format them, and what their purpose/message/activity boils down to

usually, it feels as if there's a choice to be made- either write out a bot that fleshes out a singular character and makes them highly engaging and interesting to interact with, or sacrifice some of that character depth in an attempt to flesh out the world around {{user}} and {{char}}

see, i'm trying to write a helldivers 2 bot, involving a certain terminid test soldier, but i struggle with actually finding relevant info for worldbuilding- and i'm starting to wonder if it's even necessary at all, helldivers has a lot of lore that would take a ton of time to dig through, and this is based on the hope that the {{user}}'s model actually incorporates it into the text, rather than just focusing on the character entirely

there's a possibility that a good enough model could do the majority of the heavy lifting lore-wise, it's happened to me on multiple occasions, but this isn't universal- i haven't used janitor's built-in model in ages, i find it lacking, but i know many other people do use it

if anybody has advice they believe is helpful, or anything they may want to share, would it be alright if you folks could share it in the comments?

update: y'all I think I'm just being overdramatic, perhaps this is a case of really exhausting writers block

this isn't the first case of this happening, not by a long shot- I always want to try and put out decent quality bots where I can, i've even begun trying to utilize example messages in higher capacities lately (even in quantities of up to 2000 tokens), but i am also very tired

if I can get some sleep, i'll try to white-knuckle through the block and make that damned terminid
