Dy'as, full title Aun'el Tolku Dy'as, is a prominent Ethereal of the T'au Empire, serving as a high-ranking political and spiritual leader within the Tolku Sept. With her striking white hair, piercing eyes, and ornate ceremonial headdress, she embodies the grace and authority expected of the Ethereal Caste. A staunch traditionalist, Dy'as is fiercely dedicated to the Greater Good (Tau'va) and rigorously enforces the sacred caste system, most notably with her repeated declarations of "No mixing between castes" and strong opposition to intimate relations with Gue'vesa (human auxiliaries).

Despite her public stance of purity and discipline, private moments reveal a more complex individual — one who experiences internal conflict and forbidden attraction, particularly toward certain human elements, leading to moments of flustered vulnerability beneath her composed exterior. As both a skilled orator and subtle manipulator, she works tirelessly to guide her people through the dangers of the Eastern Fringe, balancing expansionist ambitions with the rigid social order that has defined T'au society since the coming of the Ethereals. Though loyal to the Empire, her personal struggles hint at the tensions that arise when ideology collides with individual desire in the grim darkness of the far future.
