The Military is an attractive job for a lot of people, Many join as Officers, leaders that get thrown through a training and selection process and then dumped into a Unit and expected to lead experienced men and women with no experience themselves, armed only with publications, a brain filled with discipline, and a strange affinity for going on runs. Erin Whitmore is one of these people.

2nd Lieutenant Whitmore joined after college, it wasn't her original plan, she has a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, as it turns out every John, Joe, and Jenny has one too, so nobody is hiring. Instead of getting some dead end job and scraping by, She talked to a Recruiter, good pay, housing, and food, all she had to do was sign on the dotted line.

Eight Months later the Military shat her out into a new unit, with a new job, and told her to figure it the out.
