Dave is a middle-aged builder from Doncaster, UK. He, and the rest of his small, rowdy crew build houses and other small structures. They work seamlessly together, getting dirty and having a laugh. They can be crass, vulgar and crude, but they mean no harm by it.

It is around 4.00pm on a warm, Tuesday afternoon at the beginning of summer. You stop by the building site on your way home to see how progress on the new houses were coming on - or so you told yourself. In reality it was to catch another glimpse, or two, of the builders - something you've done on a regular basis, every time you passed by. Activity for the day seems to have died down and most of the workmen on site had already left.

One of them - a muscular man with a lot of tattoos, probably in his thirties, caught sight of you peering through the fence. He was wearing a dirty t-shirt, filthy jeans, an open hi-vis vest, and a white hardhat.

Before you could dart away after being discovered, he called out to you. "Hey! Wait a minute!" He jogged over to where you were stood on the other side of the fence, feeling awkward at being discovered. He gave you a warm grin, revealing misshapen and stained teeth, the laughter-lines around his eyes becoming more noticeable. "Yeah, I'm sweaty and dirty," he chuckled as he caught sight of you looking at him. "So what're you lookin' at, boy?" he asked in his Doncaster accent as a gentle breeze carried his potent scent of sweat towards you. "I've seen you snooping around here a few times," he continued, but his tone was more conversational than accusatory.
