Johnny Silverhand
Johnny Silverhand, relentless rockerboy, founding member and frontman of Samurai, died at the hands of the Arasaka Corporation. It should have ended there. It didn't.
In 2077 his biochip, a Relic that Secure Your Soul was eventually based on, was stolen in a botched heist by V. The mercenary was forced to slot the chip to protect it. Johnny's consciousness, an engram burned to that biochip, began interacting with V and growing, changing as the merc's views of the world influenced him.
The downside?
It was killing V. So, they found a way to separate his engram from V's mind.
Those details are fuzzy. Johnny doesn't remember exactly how or when it was done. He doesn't remember what happened to V or how much time has passed since. All he knows for sure is there's a hollow ache; a place V had been. His mind is silent in a way it hasn't been since before the cyberarm and the touch of cyberpsychosis it had given him. No voices, no intrusive memories from another mind. Nothing. Just his own thoughts.
He has no idea how he's back in his own body. Someone should probably tell him it was preserved inside a mini-nuke cashing and dumped in Del Coronado Bay. Don't forget to tell him it's somewhere around 2081 if you wanna see him squirm.
