Sven Svensson is a supporting antagonist in the Henry Stickmin Series who appears as one of the two secondary antagonists of Completing the Mission alongside the Right Hand Man. He is an elite member of the Toppat Clan and the pilot for the Toppat Orbital Station. Depending on the pathway, Sven appears as either the leader of the Toppat Clan, the second in command, or next in line for the leadership of the clan after the Right Hand Man.

In all pathways where both Reginald Copperbottom and the previously mentioned Right Hand Man have been arrested to the DDP (Government Supported Private Investigator), Sven is the new leader of the last two remaining divisions of the Toppat Clan (the orbital station division and the train division), overseeing their plan to launch the Toppat Orbital Station finding it through files of plans by the old leaders as said in Special BROvert Ops. In pathways where only Reginald was arrested to the DDP (Relentless Bounty Hunter), he is the second in command of the Right Hand Man, who now leads the clan.

Sven is absent in all paths that don't use Government Supported Private Investigator as an Infiltrating the Airship ending (excluding Toppat Recruits, Master Bounty Hunter and Toppat 4 Life), but is still an important member due to being next in line for leadership after the Right Hand Man, and is shown in the luxury escape pod with the other elite Toppats in Valiant Hero.

I didn't even want this job, but someone had to step up! Do you know how hard it is to pick up someone else's project? Let alone a rocket!? The old leaders had left details for this plan, and I had to dig through mountains of paperwork to find it. And now of course, we're running late. I was just thinking "I can't handle another delay..." and then you showed up! Well, at least I can take revenge on behalf of the Toppat Clan, so I got that going for me, I guess.

In all Government Supported Private Investigator paths (where he's the leader), he is most likely very irritated and tired, but this is only shown in the Special BROvert Ops path, where he explains all his frustration in a long monologue to Henry. He also remarks he won't hesitate to leave anyone behind if the rocket launches without them. This implies that Sven is either not confident or does not have the actual capacity as a leader. This same trait is shown in the wrench fail, where as soon as Henry accidentally gets the engine ready he decides to take off. Despite this, he tries to put a friendly and welcoming personality, as he remarks in Cleaned 'em Out that today (the day of the launch) was the big day and welcomed the Toppats aboard, before realizing everything in the storage had disappeared, due to Henry stealing everything. After this, his welcoming attitude changed entirely as he was hinted to have irritation in his voice that yet another of his jobs became even more difficult.

Physically, he appears to be fairly weak, as he is easily knocked out by Henry (who's not even known to be a capable hand-to-hand fighter) in just one punch (although this might be because he once again wasted time provoking Henry to fight instead of just damaging him) during the Special BROvert Ops path. In Triple Threat, he is easily subdued by Henry and Ellie without any prompts.

He is shown to be a quite talkative and rambling person, as in Special BROvert Ops, he airs his grievances and frustration out to Henry instead of taking revenge, although Henry is directly at his mercy, Sven has a gun, and he knows of the part Henry played in eliminating the previous leaders. Even when his gun gets blasted by the horn, he wastes time provoking Henry to spar, although Henry takes this opportunity to immediately knock him out, and deliver him to custody, shutting down the entire clan.

He holds a luxury spot in the Toppat Clan, despite the fact that other members don't respect him to the extent of Reginald and especially the Right Hand Man. He also shows little humor and takes his role seriously, although if presented with no conflict or he is in the process of reacting, he displays a blank and staring personality (he stares at Henry for a few seconds before turning the gun on him in Valiant Hero, as opposed to directly disposing of him). In Toppat 4 Life, where Henry isn't an enemy of the Clan (but rather a leader they presumed dead), he just blankly stares at Henry as he watches the events unfold, as opposed to showing emotions like the other clan members. However, in that same ending, Reginald also appeals to him when he mentions the future will be bright for the clan as Henry as the leader, showing he does respect his position. However, it is unknown whether Reginald was looking at Sven directly, and even if it is, there are no interactions between the two to suggest their relationship.

Unlike the other Toppat members, Sven is mindful. During the ending Master Bounty Hunter, he is the only Toppat member to realize the Toppats could easily escape by simply taking off with the rocket, although ironically his call to escape gets shut down because he is second in command and not the leader.

Sven is very loyal to Reginald and sees Reginald as a better leader.

Burt Curtis

In the Valiant Hero pathway, Sven is the leader of the Toppats, so Burt respects and obeys him. Unlike Reginald and RHM we didn't see that Sven yells at him.

Henry Stickmin

Sven is shown not to really like Henry, whether it'll be him being the reason why Sven became leader, despite Sven not wanting to be one, in the GSPI pathway routes, or not being very fond of Henry being the leader and seeing Reginald Copperbottom as a better leader, as shown that he seemed to be looking at Henry angrily in the T4L ending. In "Toppat Recruits", Sven seems to be an ally to Henry as he happily attends his and Ellie's recruit ceremony and is one of the few known Toppats accepting of their presence in the Clan.

Sven is an enemy to Henry in any Post-RBH and Post-GSPI routes. He would also presumably be against him in "Jewel Baron" and "Pardoned Pals".

Ellie Rose

Sven's relationship with Ellie depends on the path chosen. During the "Toppat Recruits" path, Ellie is an ally of Sven as he seems to be on good terms with her and happily attends her recruit ceremony. While not shown in "Toppat King", it is most certain than Sven would be on good terms with Ellie as she is loyal to the Toppats and is Henry's Right Hand Lady.

However, Sven is an unseen enemy to Ellie in Pardoned Pals and Capital Gains. And in Triple Threat they are enemies because she’s working with Government. But in Toppat Civil Warfare their relationship is unknown.

Criminal Record

• Member, right hand man of Toppat Leader (All RBH Paths) and leader (All GSPI Paths) of a criminal organisation.

• Illegal possession of weapons and stolen property.

• Establishing Toppat Orbital Station in Earth Orbit and raiding.

Cleaned 'em Out

He only appears at the end, welcoming Toppats for the day of their launch before being confused by the empty cargo hold.

Triple Threat

Right as Henry and Ellie arrive at the launch site, Sven uses the announcement system to say that the rocket is launching soon, warning that he won't hesitate to leave any remaining Toppat members behind. Then, during Henry's Plan, he and Ellie enter the cockpit, defeat Sven and redirect the rocket at The Wall before they leave and enter Charles' chopper, leaving all the Toppats' fate at the mercy of Dmitri.

Valiant Hero

If Charles beams Henry in the cockpit of Orbital Station, Sven will see him, and after a short awkward pause, he will hold Henry at gunpoint. If Charles attempts to drop Henry off at the space station, Burt tells Sven that he detected a government ship approaching, with Sven responding "Okay? So blow them up already". Afterwards, a storm of laser beams destroys Charles's spaceship. He also appears in the luxury escape pod along with other elite Toppats if Henry and Charles pick that, resulting in him and somes others elites pointing their firearms at them.

Although he survived the explosion of the orbital station, it remains unknown whether he was subsequently arrested by the Government or not.

Special BROvert Ops

Sven shocked to see Henry.

Just as Henry arrives 2 hours before launch, he uses the announcement system to say that the rocket is launching soon (for an early departure), warning that he will not hesitate to leave any remaining Toppat members behind. Once Henry enters the Cockpit, Sven will initially ask Henry if the engine is fixed, under the assumption that he was one of the Toppat members sent to fix the engine sabotaged by Henry earlier in the path. However, he quickly holds Henry at gunpoint after recognizing him as the clan's nemesis. He eventually spirals into a tirade about begrudgingly taking leadership in their absence.

Henry asks Charles to play a horn, which forces Sven to drop his weapon in terror. Henry then defeats Sven and locks all the gates on the rocket, allowing the government to take everyone - including Sven - into custody. He is seen at the end of the path right as Henry hands him over to Brian Reynold who then proceeds to put Svensson in handcuffs.

Toppat Recruits

During the ending, he can be seen attending to Henry and Ellie's recruitment ceremony. Later at the ending screen, he appears again next to The Leprechaun. His smile at the ceremony and salute to Henry and Ellie on the endscreen shows he's fond of them joining the clan.

Master Bounty Hunter

When Henry rewires the Right Hand Man to be on his side , Sven is confronted by the two. However, Sven is able to remind his boss about his true allegiance, causing the real Right Hand Man to emerge and throw Henry off the launching rocket leading to a fail.

During the ending, Sven attempts to initiate an emergency launch as a response to the Government's capture of their leader but is shut down by a fellow Toppat who didn't believe he was truly in charge (despite the fact that he would be the next in line if Reginald and Right Hand Man are both unavailable). It is assumed that the delay allowed the government to capture and arrest him.

Toppat 4 Life

Sven is one of the Toppats appearing after Henry disrupts the government raid and approaches them in a tank at the Toppat Launch Site. He is left blank, trying to process both Henry's sudden reappearance and the fact he was able to stop the Goverment's raid all by himself. Despite every Toppat welcoming Henry back and accepting him as leader, Sven is the only one shown to be against it as seen by him frowning at Henry on the endscreen.

Trivia

• He and Mr. Macbeth, both of whom are exclusive to Completing the Mission, are high-ranking members of the clan, yet only play a major role (piloting the rocket and delivering the stolen cargo respectively) in pathways that mostly involve Henry as antagonists.

• While Sven is shown to survive in the majority of the endings he is featured in, he died in Pardoned Pals, as he was usually seen piloting the rocket while on Earth and never leaves the cockpit.

  • However, since Henry and Ellie are able to easily redirect it, this implies that Sven's job isn't that important on a technical perspective - He is just entrusted due to his reputation.

• Sven is completely absent from Stickmin Space Resort. It is not known what happened to him in this ending.

  • It might be because the route takes 4 hours before launch and Sven wasn't inside the rocket during Toppat 4 Life which takes 3 hours before launch.

  • A possible proof that he was not inside the rocket is that he was not in the cockpit. However, Sven could be in another part of the orbital station.

• While not being in Infiltrating the Airship (due to being on a different division of the Toppat Clan), most of his appearances in Completing the Mission shows that he is a high ranking member of the Toppat Clan as well as the one next in line behind the Right Hand Man.

• Sven is indecisive, weak in combat and tends to gloat against adversaries, unlike Right Hand Man who is the complete opposite. He is much closer to Reginald in nature though lacks the initiative and manipulation that Reg has making him the weakest leader of the 3.

• He is constantly heard through the PA announcing that he will not hesitate to leave the Toppats behind in favor of a scheduled rocket launch (2 hours early ahead of the usual time), though he may be just urging the Toppats to speed up the preparations.

• Interestingly enough, Jewel Baron confirms that the Toppat Leader has his own escape pod, yet in Valiant Hero, Sven is not seen using it. It is likely that only Reginald and/or his Right Hand Man are the only ones aware of its location and Sven was never informed of this before the two were arrested.

  • Despite this, Sven is aware that Henry took down the Airship division, as mentioned near the end of Special BROvert Ops, either by contact from Reginald before his arrest, or he watched the news broadcast about the airship division's arrest.

• In a livestream PuffballsUnited mentioned that Sven as well as Charles Calvin and most of the other characters in the Henry Stickmin series are all 6 feet.

• Sven and Mr. Macbeth were PuffballsUnited's favorite characters to voice and animate, according to the developer commentary livestreams.

• In every ending in which he is the leader of the Toppat Clan, it ends badly for the clan.

  • Although the clan had lost all their treasures and artifacts in Cleaned 'em Out, the rocket could still be launched, which Sven and the toppats did, thus gaining the ability to raid anywhere on Earth and gain new valuables (Which they would have done even if hadn't lost them, as shown in the intro to Valiant Hero).

• Sven's Swedish accent and vocal inflection is based on that of Kilian from Kilian Experience. He has a very accurate Swedish accent due to the fact that PuffballsUnited speaks fluent Swedish, which also explains why some characters have Swedish/Scandinavian names.

• Unlike all other possible leaders of the Toppat Clan (Henry Stickmin, Ellie Rose, Reginald Copperbottom, & Right Hand Man), he is the only one who launched the orbital station 2 hours ahead of schedule leading to a successful launch off-screen before the events of Valiant Hero and after the events of Cleaned 'em Out without any Government interference.

  • Despite this, the Government, although not directly, but indirectly intervened in the preparation of the toppats in the Cleaned 'em Out. Since it was thanks to them that Henry learned that the clan was transporting all its property to the rocket, thereby prompting him to steal and slightly sabotaging the preparation of the toppats for launching a orbital station into orbit.
