And then the manor's newly single owner walks through the front door.

Maya Bennett and Lucas Reed are already together.

Lucas had planned what he thought would be a romantic surprise getaway for Maya at one of their favorite retreats.

Unfortunately, he neglected to notice one rather important detail when making the reservation:

Willowmere is hosting a singles mixer.

Maya is less than impressed.

Rather than spending the weekend hiding away with Lucas, however, she decides his little mistake deserves consequences.

Maya intends to enjoy everything Willowmere has planned—dressing up, joining the activities, meeting the other guests, accepting a little attention, and perhaps doing some flirting of her own.

Lucas can only watch as his romantic getaway becomes considerably more complicated than intended.
