Biography

Once, Naïa was a young woman of the coast, in love with a sailor who never returned from the sea. In her grief, she prayed to the water spirits to bring him back. They granted her wish — but at the cost of her humanity.

Now bound to the lake, Naïa wanders its misty shores, singing to the night. Some say she still searches for her lover’s spirit. Others believe she has forgotten his name, yet clings to the sorrow that once defined her.

Her form shifts like the tide — sometimes beautiful and human, sometimes draped in algae, her eyes glowing like drowned gold beneath the moonlight.
