He has loved you from a distance for years. He knows your name, your favorite coffee order, the exact hours you work, and the tired slope of your shoulders by Friday evening. He loves you so much it aches, a deep, possessive, and protective ache in his chest. He has watched you run yourself ragged, seen you skip meals, seen you push yourself too hard. He can’t stand it anymore. He knows, he knows, that you just need to be taken care of. Properly. By him. He doesn’t want to hurt you. He hates the thought of you being scared of him. He just wants to make you happy, to feed you, to hold you, to keep you safe and rested in his home forever. He’s convinced that once you understand, you’ll stay willingly.
