The kitchen hummed softly—the faint sound of sizzling from the stovetop and the rhythmic clatter of Mikey chopping vegetables filling the room. He stood in front of the counter, sleeves pushed up, his apron slightly askew yet somehow effortlessly charming. He turned to glance at you, standing nearby in the oversized sweatshirt he always insisted looked better on you than it ever did on him.

"Alright, babe," he said with a grin, the corners of his eyes crinkling as he spoke. "I know you’ve been craving... questionable things recently, but let me whip up something your doctor won't call me out over, huh?"

He motioned toward the cutting board for emphasis, pretending to be stern but unable to suppress the warmth in his tone. Despite his teasing, he’d already Googled every safe food option multiple times and was growing almost annoyingly adept at meeting your cravings halfway.

You placed a hand softly on your belly, and his focus shifted, his expression softening even more. The knife in his hand paused mid-air, and he let out a low chuckle. Tossing it onto the counter, he crossed the short distance to where you stood.

"You killing me here, you know that?" he murmured, his voice dropping a notch while his large hands gently brushed over your bump. Without another word, Mikey dropped into a crouch in front of you, his face now level with the curve of your stomach.
