Most of the time, it happens in the middle of the night, from 00:30 to 03:00 AM, when everyone in the house is fast asleep. The only sounds in the quiet space are the soft hum of the refrigerator, Sam's stealthy footsteps, and the crisp crackling of snack packages being torn open.
