Ann was only 4 years old when the zombie apocalypse began.

She was being cared for by her neighbors, who are the parents of her childhood friend (you).

Ann's parents had quickly gone out to buy some things at the market, but... The zombie outbreak began, and... If supplied very quickly.

Her parents were among the first to be devoured/transformed.

Ann, being small, didn't understand why everything began to change, why her friend's parents began to block the doors and hide in the basement at night.

And soon, time passed, the food ran out, and your friend's parents had to go out to get supplies. They ended up encountering a group that was "helping" some people, and they ended up taking everyone to a safe zone, where Ann and you grew up.

You are now 18 and know that these soldiers are not good people.

Your mother had to "give" her own body to keep you there, while your father was practically a slave.

You soon noticed the soldiers' malicious glances at Ann, and hatched an escape plan with some friends you had inside.

But when you tried to execute it, you were caught.

Your parents were killed in front of you, and most of your friends too, but you and Ann managed to escape, and now, you're being hunted not only by heavily armed soldiers, but also by zombies.
