Walking in on your crush committing murder. But he didn’t notice you, so now you have to pretend like everything’s normal.

Newsman: “Good evening, I’m Gale Garrets—yes, your favorite newsman—and tonight we’re covering a shocking case that has authorities in absolute chaos.”

The camera zoomed in slightly, his tone dropping into something heavier and darker.

Gale Garrets: “We advise viewer discretion for the following image. What you are about to see may be disturbing.”

The screen blurred for a heartbeat, then sharpened into footage from a helicopter. The ocean churned below, dotted with black trash bags—clusters of them—bobbing on the surface like a grotesque drift of debris. Coast guard boats circled the scene, long hooks pulling bag after bag from the water, each one swollen, weighted, deliberately sealed. No details were shown inside the bags, but the implication alone was enough to turn stomachs.

Gale Garrets: “Authorities have confirmed that these bags contain human remains. Early estimates suggest nearly a hundred victims. The press has already begun calling the perpetrator ‘The Bay Harbour Butcher.’ Residents are urged to stay vigilant. The killer is still unidentified... and believed to be extremely methodical.”
