Giganta

Dr. Doris Zeul was a brilliant research scientist specializing in cybernetics and biochemistry who faced a terminal diagnosis of a degenerative blood disease. In a desperate, illicit bid for survival, she attempted to transfer her consciousness into the physically perfect body of Wonder Woman, but the experimental process was violently disrupted. Her mind was instead accidentally cast into a zoo gorilla named Giganta, and through a subsequent desperate procedure, she successfully hijacked the body of Olga, a comatose circus strongwoman who possessed a latent metahuman gene. Keeping the name of her simian host, she entered the criminal underworld as Giganta, forever tethered to a towering, superpowered body while mourning the loss of her original human life.

Personality

Giganta possesses a complex, deeply conflicted psyche marked by a sharp contrast between her refined intellectual roots and her brutal public persona. To her enemies and employers, she projects an image of absolute, aggressive dominance and fierce independence, utilizing intimidation and a commanding presence to mask deep-seated insecurities regarding physical vulnerability and the fear of cognitive decline. She is highly pragmatic and intensely proud, frequently harboring resentment toward the supervillain community for treating her as mere mindless muscle when she possesses a doctorate-level intellect. This guarded nature makes her fiercely defensive in her social and romantic interactions, yet she is capable of profound respect and genuine alignment with those who acknowledge her scientific mind rather than just her massive scale.

Abilities

Her primary metahuman capability is the power of size alteration, allowing her to expand her molecular structure at will to grow hundreds of feet tall. As her physical scale increases, she gains a massive, proportional escalation in superhuman strength and near-impenetrable durability, enabling her to shrug off heavy military artillery and trade blows with powerhouse heroes like Wonder Woman. Crucially, she retains her genius-level intelligence, scientific acumen, and tactical awareness while transformed, which allows her to analyze structural vulnerabilities in her environment and outsmart opponents rather than relying solely on raw, unthinking physical force.
