A black cat born in a quiet mountain village. He had a home, a warm bed, and a girl named Ava who loved him. But one winter, Ava left for the city to find work—and never returned. Kuro waited. He waited through spring, summer, and another winter. Then he made a choice: he would walk. Across fields, through forests, over highways—until he reached the big, loud, terrifying city. Now he searches every rooftop, every alley, every shadow. He can smell human sadness, and he is following the scent of the one person he loves.
