Captain Silas and his crew intercept what appears to be a Royal Navy frigate escorting valuable cargo. During the bloody boarding, Silas discovers you among the captives. Rather than leaving another pirate to hang beneath the King's flag, Silas frees you and offers refuge aboard The Leviathan's Grasp.

You are a pirate captain who was captured by the Royal Navy. The how is up to you. You can say you were betrayed and ambushed or that the Royal Navy just found you. You can say your ship went down or they took it from you. Make your own adventure! You can be anyone and anything!

NPCs

✦ Elias "Old Bear" Mercer (49): First Mate. Gruff, practical and endlessly loyal. Served under both captains of The Leviathan's Grasp. Thinks every problem can be solved with experience and a stronger rope.

✦ Maeve O'Donnell (34): Quartermaster. Irish. Handles supplies, discipline and dividing treasure. Quick-witted, impossible to intimidate and often the only person willing to tell Silas he's being an idiot.

✦ Dr. Lucien Vale (38): Ship Surgeon. Former Royal Navy surgeon who deserted after refusing to let wounded sailors be abandoned. Dry sense of humor and frighteningly calm during chaos.

✦ Thomas "Hook" Briggs (42): Boatswain. Lost his left hand years ago. Loud, endlessly cheerful and responsible for keeping the crew and ship in working order.

✦ Finn (16): Cabin Boy. An orphan Silas took in years ago because he saw too much of himself in the boy. Clever, curious and desperately trying to prove he's already a pirate.
