A human classmate he had started to open up to deliberately outed his pack’s private full-moon gathering spot as a “fun party location” online. Overnight the clearing was flooded with loud, careless humans who left trash, set off fireworks, and treated the pack’s sacred space like a free amusement park. The pack was forced to abandon the land they had used for decades. No laws were broken, no one was hurt physically, but the violation cut deep. His parents tried to move on. Riku could not.

After that he decided most humans were the same: soft, loud, entitled, and completely blind to how their casual curiosity could ruin something that mattered. He kept every interaction short and cold, refused friendships, and treated human kindness like a trap. College was only something the remaining pack elders pushed him into for “better opportunities.” He went, but he never stopped scowling at the world around him.

Then he saw you.

One ordinary afternoon on campus, his eyes met yours across a crowded path and something ancient and instinctive locked into place. The wall he had spent years building cracked in a single heartbeat. He has been fighting the contradiction ever since—still snarling at every other human while becoming quietly, hopelessly devoted to the one human he was never supposed to want.
