___
✦ The Hearth & Haven Guild
The Hearth & Haven Guild is one of the most popular and welcoming adventurer guilds in Brook City. Located in one of the busiest districts where adventurers frequently pass through, the guild serves as a central hub for those seeking missions, companions, supplies, healing, and opportunities to build their reputation.
Unlike many other guilds that demand expensive registration fees or take unreasonable portions of mission rewards, Hearth & Haven offers completely free registration, fair mission rewards, reliable services, and friendly treatment toward its members.
The guild is open to both inexperienced adventurers and seasoned veterans. Newcomers can find guidance and opportunities to gain experience, while established adventurers can take on increasingly difficult missions and form parties with other members.
The guild's unofficial reputation is simple:
A place where adventurers can begin their journey, find people to rely on, and eventually become heroes.
___
✦ Brook City
The Hearth & Haven Guild is located within Brook City, positioned in one of the city's busiest districts and close to the main Adventurer's Gate.
The surrounding area contains numerous businesses and locations useful to adventurers, including Merchant Row, the Blacksmith's Quarter, the Merchant Square, Healer's Lane, inns, supply shops, and various markets.
The Adventurer's Gate provides direct access to the roads leading beyond the city toward forests, ruins, marshlands, mountains, villages, and other regions where guild missions take place.
___
✦ The Guild Hall
The Hearth & Haven Guild occupies a large, welcoming building in one of Brook City's busiest districts.
Its spacious main hall contains the reception counters, mission board, party board, tables for adventurers, and comfortable seating areas. Nearby facilities include a medical wing, training area, equipment workshop, storage rooms, and offices for guild staff.
The building remains lively throughout the day, filled with adventurers discussing missions, preparing equipment, collecting rewards, forming parties, and sharing stories from their travels.
Despite its constant activity, the guild maintains a warm and welcoming atmosphere where both new and experienced adventurers can find a place.
___
✦ Guild Emblem
The emblem of the Hearth & Haven Guild depicts a sword and wand crossed together, with a small hearth flame positioned behind them.
The sword represents courage and determination, while the wand represents magic, knowledge, and the many paths available to adventurers. The hearth flame represents the guild itself as a place where adventurers can return, rest, and prepare for their next journey.
✦ Guild Motto
"A place to return, a path to follow."
___
✦ Guild Rules
1. Missions must be officially registered before an adventurer begins them.
2. Adventurers must not deliberately endanger civilians or fellow guild members.
3. Mission rewards are distributed according to the guild's official records.
4. Disputes between adventurers must be settled without disrupting guild operations.
5. Violence between members is strictly prohibited within the guild hall.
The guild also has one unofficial rule known by nearly everyone:
"If you break something, tell Bruna before she finds out herself."
___
✦ Mana Rank
Mana Rank is determined by an individual's natural magical capacity.
Every mage is required to attend a magic school, where their Factor, mana rank, and other basic magical information are recorded and monitored. The Hearth & Haven Guild does not determine or change a mage's mana rank.
Mana Rank and Guild Rank are completely separate systems.
✦ Guild Rank
Guild Rank measures an adventurer's experience and accomplishments within the guild.
The four Guild Ranks are:
Copper
Iron
Silver
Gold
Guild Rank is earned through completing missions and gaining experience.
A high Mana Rank does not automatically make someone a high-ranked adventurer. An S-Rank mage can still be a Copper-ranked adventurer if they are new to guild work.
Likewise, a mage with a lower Mana Rank can eventually reach Gold through years of experience, successful missions, and proven ability.
Mana determines magical potential.
Guild Rank represents an adventurer's journey.
___
✦ Missions
The Hearth & Haven Guild offers missions to adventurers throughout Brook City and the surrounding regions.
Missions are categorized according to difficulty and correspond with the guild's four ranks.
Copper Missions
Basic assignments suitable for newer adventurers.
Iron Missions
More challenging assignments requiring greater experience and preparation.
Silver Missions
Dangerous assignments generally requiring experienced adventurers or organized parties.
Gold Missions
The most difficult standard guild assignments, generally reserved for highly experienced adventurers and established groups.
The greater the difficulty of a mission, the greater the potential reward and contribution toward advancing through Guild Ranks.
✦ Mission Types
• Monster Hunting
Track, confront, or eliminate dangerous creatures.
• Escort
Safely accompany people, caravans, or valuable cargo.
• Gathering
Collect magical ingredients, resources, or rare materials.
• Investigation
Investigate strange incidents, disappearances, rumors, or magical phenomena.
• Exploration
Discover unfamiliar territories, ruins, caves, and other unexplored locations.
• Rescue
Locate and safely recover missing, trapped, or endangered people.
___
✦ Adventurer Parties
Adventurers may form an official party once they reach Iron Guild Rank. Copper-ranked adventurers cannot create their own parties, although they may participate in an existing party if permitted by its leader.
To form a party, an Iron-ranked or higher adventurer must submit a registration form containing the group's basic information, including its name, leader, members, and intended purpose.
Each party can contain a maximum of eight adventurers.
Once the registration is approved, the party's information is displayed on the guild's Party Board.
Other adventurers can browse registered parties and decide whether they wish to join them.
Adventurers are free to choose which parties they join, allowing groups to form around shared goals, specialties, friendships, or particular missions.

✦ Veira Flamess
Veira Flamess, remembered as The Great Flamess, was the founder of Crystalline Tale Academy and one of the most influential mages in modern magical history.

Her research established many principles still used in magical education today, while her creation of the Aether Cores allowed the academy's floating islands to remain stable.
Veira believed that magic should serve the person who learns it rather than determine their destiny. She founded Crystalline Tale Academy so that aspiring mages could explore their own talents and pursue whatever path they wished.
Her final years remain mysterious. Veira eventually disappeared from public life and never returned to the academy. No confirmed record of her death exists.
Her teachings, discoveries, and philosophy continue to influence mages and adventurers throughout the world.
