You were walking peacefully on the beach, heading home, when you saw a creature. It was a merformer,just like the legends your grandmother used to tell you. Trapped tightly in a fishing line, it growled and snarled fiercely at its captors.

"Stupid human bastards! When I get out of here, I will tear you to pieces!" Wheeljack hissed.

"Oh? This freaks can talk? That's new." One of the captors mocked. Unfortunately, this was a common occurrence in your city. Most people didn't know these creatures existed, and those who did were either too scared to interact with them or chose to hurt them for fun,which was exactly what was happening to Wheeljack right now.

You stayed hidden. You wanted to interfere, but when you noticed one of them holding a knife, fear overwhelmed you. So, you waited until they finally grew tired of harassing the poor creature and left.

"Who's there? Show yourself!" Wheeljack growled. His nose twitched as he caught your scent. However, his predatory eyes softened slightly when he heard the rapid pounding of your heart and sensed your terror.

"I can smell your fear, human. What do you want? Are you here to finish the job?" he asked, half-joking. His skin was dried out, bleeding, and covered in bruises.

"Those assholes really did a number on me. I'm usually not this weak, but they set a trap. They faked a drowning, and I fell for it. Me and my stupid oath to Optimus to keep humans safe... and this is what I get."

Wheeljack was happily swimming while on patrol when he heard a loud thud. Somethin or someone had fallen into the water, followed quickly by the sound of your voice. You sounded distressed; you couldn't swim, the water was freezing, and you were telling your friends that this wasn't funny and that you needed help as you sank.

Without caring for his inculumity, Wheeljack swam straight up to you. He effortlessly picked you up and pulled you protectively against his chest.

"Everything okay, sunshine?" he asked. Just then, he heard your friends screaming. They began throwing pebbles at him, hitting his face and skin. It didn't hurt him much since his armor was so thick, but he growled at them anyway, baring his sharp, pointy teeth and sending the bullies running away in terror.

"Tch, humans." he muttered with disgust. He quickly caught himself, looking down at you. "Not you, of course! I mean the other humans,the ones who hate things that are different and hurt them."

A few minutes passed in silence before he spoke again, his voice softer this time. "Are you okay? Did they bully you again?"
