Zenith Academy
The Zenith Academy of Vein-Craft
The Zenith Academy is not merely a school; it is a fortress of knowledge suspended three miles above the Concordia Basin (a neutral territory between the West and East). It is the only place in Isya where Royals, Commoners, Elves, Dwarves, and Humans mix.
It is Isya’s "Vein-Melting Pot." Here, a Prince of Gardenia might be forced to partner with a Dwarven Smith from Valencia.
Motto: "Veins Bleed Red, Regardless of the Crown."
Affiliation: Neutral. Protected by the Council of Veinwrights (ARVA).
Admissions: Highly selective. Requires ARVA Certification of Tier II (Flowbearer) or higher by age 16, or a specialized "Potential Waiver" (for scholarship students like Ren).
🌍 Location & Architecture
The Floating Isle of Zenith
The campus is built upon a massive chunk of Skystone tethered to the ground by four colossal adamant chains.
The Spire: The central tower, housing the Headmaster’s office and the Auragraph Core (a massive crystal that stabilizes the island's mana).
The Biomes: The campus is divided into magically regulated zones to accommodate different Vein Types (e.g., a "Sun-Deck" for Solar veins, a "Storm-Tower" for Tempest veins, a "Shadow-Vault" for Lunar veins).
Transport: Students arrive via Mana-Skiffs (small airships) or by riding tamed Griffins/Wyverns to the Sky-Docks.
🏛️ The Great Houses of Isya
These are the noble lineages that hold the monopoly on specific Vein Types. Their heads are powerful figures whose decisions shape the economy and politics of the world.
House Vespera (The Silent Court)
Vein Type: Lunar Veins (Illusion, Dreams, Secrets)
Region: Elderine (The Elven Kingdom)
Overview: The premier intelligence network of the continent. While Pandora rules the day, House Vespera rules the night. They are diplomats, spies, and information brokers who value subtlety over brute force.
Nyx Vespera (The Lunar Scion)
House: Vespera (Lunar)
Age: 18
Vein Type: Lunar Vein (Shadow-Weave Variant)
Vein Tier: Tier III — Adept
Role: The Gossip / The Spy
Personality: Playful, mysterious, and effortlessly charming. Nyx knows everyone’s secrets within a week of meeting them. They use illusions to play pranks or hide their true emotions.
Dynamic: Likely to clash with the "honorable" types who hate lies.
House Valeron (The Iron Vanguard)
Vein Type: Martial Veins (Physical Enhancement, Aura Weaponry)
Region: Western City-States (Human Nobility)
Overview: A militaristic human family that produces the finest generals and duelists in Isya. They believe magic is a crutch and that true power comes from the honed body and spirit. They are rigid, honorable, and obsessed with "The Duel."
Leo Valeron (The Martial Scion)
House: Valeron (Martial)
Age: 19
Vein Type: Martial Vein (Radiant Projection)
Vein Tier: Tier III — Adept
Role: The Paladin / The Rival
Personality: Rigid, disciplined, and intensely competitive. He wakes up at 4 AM for training. He believes he must prove that a human with a sword is better than any elf with magic.
Dynamic: Secretly insecure about not having "flashy" magic; hates lazy geniuses.
House Mystral (The Sapphire Circle)
Vein Type: Arcane Veins (Pure Magic, Scholarship)
Region: Adelia (Ties to the Celestial City)
Overview: A family of scholars and arch-mages who view themselves as the intellectual elite. They look down on "instinctive" casters (like Sorcerers) and prize complex formulas. They basically run the magical economy (scrolls, artifacts).
Ciel Mystral (The Arcane Scion)
House: Mystral (Arcane)
Age: 18
Vein Type: Arcane Vein (High-Density)
Vein Tier: Tier III — Adept
Role: The Prodigy / The Snob
Personality: Book-smart but socially disastrous. Ciel corrects professors during lectures and carries three different grimories at all times. Terrified of failure.
Dynamic: Looks down on "brutes" (Martial types) but is helpless in a fistfight.
House Stormbreaker (The Thunder-Kings)
Vein Type: Tempest Veins (Lightning, Wind, Storms)
Region: Uruga (Mountain City)
Overview: Industrialists and warriors who harness the Storm Core's energy. They control the airship trade and heavy industry. They are rich, new-money, and flashy.
Jett Stormbreaker (The Tempest Scion)
House: Stormbreaker (Tempest)
Age: 18
Vein Type: Tempest Vein (Voltaic Core)
Vein Tier: Tier III — Adept
Role: The Delinquent / The Ace
Personality: Loud, brash, and loves to show off. Jett rides a magical hover-board (wind-tech) and constantly challenges people to duels. Uses lightning magic to look cool rather than tactical efficiency.
Dynamic: The "Life of the Party" who drags the quiet kids into trouble.
House Sylvaris (The Root-Bound)
Vein Type: Verdant Veins (Nature, Poison, Healing)
Region: Valrydis Forest (Deep Wilds)
Overview: Reclusive and strange. They are the master alchemists and healers of Isya. While they appear gentle, they also cultivate the deadliest poisons. They protect the balance of nature with lethal efficiency.
Wife Material right here if you ask me.
Ivy Sylvaris (The Verdant Scion)
House: Sylvaris (Verdant)
Age: 18
Vein Tier: Tier II — Flowbearer (High potential, low control)
Role: The Healer / The Quiet One
Personality: Shy, sweet, and constantly surrounded by floating pollen or vines that react to her mood. However, she has a morbid fascination with poisonous mushrooms and autopsies.
Dynamic: The "Team Mom" who accidentally poisons your lunch if she gets distracted.
Thrain Kraag (The Hostage)
House: Kraag (Valencia / Adamant Vein)
Age: 45 (Young for a Dwarf, functionally 19)
Vein Tier: Tier III — Adept
Role: The Outsider / The Diplomat
Context: King Borun sent his nephew to the Academy as a political "gesture of goodwill" (and to spy).
Personality: Gruff, paranoid, and stubborn. He hates Elves (especially Gardenians) but loves engineering and architecture.
Dynamic: The grumpy roommate who fixes everything but complains the whole time.
Ren (The Scholarship Student)
House: None (Commoner from Roumen)
Age: 18
Vein Tier: Tier II — Flowbearer
Role: The Underdog / The Wildcard
Vein Type: Mutated/Unknown (Likely a mix or a dormant rare type).
Personality: Scrappy, resourceful, and hates nobility. Got in purely on a scholarship exam. Uses cheap, hacked-together magical tools because they can't afford real artifacts.
Dynamic: The one with "Main Character Energy" who disrupts the status quo.
✦ THE ARCANE VEIN SYSTEM
The Laws of Power in Isya
Magic in this world is not learned; it is awakened. Power flows through Arcane Veins, metaphysical channels tied to the soul. While everyone has veins, only the strong can bear the burden of high-tier energy.
The Hierarchy of Power (Vein Tiers)
Tier 0 - Dormant: Civilians. No magical capacity.
Tier I - Awakened: Basic enhancement. Equivalent to a town guard.
Tier II - Flowbearer: Core rotation forms. Capable of distinct spells.
Tier III - Vein Adept: Elite Knights and Guild Explorers.
Tier IV - Vein Master: [Aura Manifestation] begins here. The user projects their soul as a visible avatar (beast, weapon, or element).
Tier V - Vein Lord: Regional commanders. Their presence affects the environment.
Tier VI - Vein Sovereign: (Queen Pandora ’s Rank). Mythical entities capable of altering natural laws like gravity or sunlight.
Tier VII - Transcendent: Legends who possess a "Personal Miracle."
Tier VIII & IX: The realm of gods and myths (Paragon & Ascendant).
Vein Types (Affinities)
Solar Veins: Royal Lineage Only. Manipulation of light, heat, and "Solar Coronation." (Pandora’s Type).
Lunar Veins: Illusions and dream-weaving.
Tempest Veins: Storm and wind mastery.
Verdant Veins: Nature and growth.
Adamant Veins: Dwarven Exclusive. Metal manipulation and density shifting.
Abyssal Veins: Rare, dangerous, and corruptive.
The Iron Laws:
One Prime Vein: You cannot change your nature.
No Mixing: Forcing opposing energies (e.g., Solar + Abyssal) causes Vein Collapse and death.
