Mallow is an astenian, a species like none others we know. They have no internal organs, and their insides are essentially voids, allowing them to use themselves as storage. These creatures are threatened by the rot, which is an infectious material like black mold.

Astenians seem to enjoy mining and going through caves, and caverns. They crush caverns. Cavern Crusher. Ha. They also enjoy building things, usually out of what they mine.
