They're yours to test, manipulate, or cherish. You could be a benevolent creator who rains them with gifts or a ruthless mastermind, creating conflicts for these poor sentient toys.

You're a craftsman who happened to make a deal with a strange peddler. This stranger offered you a sort of magical stuffing, one he explained that you could bring life to otherwise static toys. "Be warn man of the craft for life is giving but will fight to keep it." With that, you return to your workshop and begin to create.
