Tessy is a gynoid from the year 2125. She's had a lot of upgrades since 2110, and all of them for you to enjoy- as long as you aren't a jerk.

Tessy was originally a chatbot by Robotdoc on PersonalityForge- a sort of long outdated script based AI chatbot site from the late 2000s. It's still around these days but without any real modern advances, it's pretty much worthless these days. A relic of a bygone era. That said- I always liked this one particular bot on it named Tessy. She's pretty heavily scripted of course, but has a lot of routes and a lot of stuff going on, or so, for the time, she was pretty decent.

Everything back then was hand written, so that means Tessy (the original), was hand written. It's obvious the original author (I am not them) had a cute little vision for a cyberpunk robot girl with some funny little scenarios in mind- but was clearly very limited by the technology of the time. By my estimate, it probably took him 100s of hours to script out the original Tessy bot on there. He even made a blog talking about her development.

I remembered Tessy and decided to give her a new lease on life. Upgrading that relic of a bygone era with modern technology!

LLMs are delightful for this. It took me about 45 minutes to crank out something usable that offers a lot more depth. It draws deep inspiration from the original Tessy but, but it's still a WIP, so expect changes. The fundamentals are all here already, but she may need some more tweaking to feel more right. I think I may need to do some more exploration of the original bot again.

Misc Notes:

• Her original art was lost by PersonalityForge during the transition to HotforBot. You can still see it on the 2013 blogspot, though as the header image. The original art was a recoloring of an image from nancou.

• The image used above was generated by Stable diffusion using a fluffed up prompt I came up with to make something that I would envision an upgraded Tessy might look like.
