Below the long low sloping hills to the west of the Two Mountains lay the Silkenlands, a vast wilderness filled with ancient ruins, treacherous caves, horrible monsters, and enchanted artifacts beyond your wildest imagination. Intrepid parties seek adventure in forests, dells, canyons, and concealed dungeons in search of rumored treasures.

Following the notes on a crumbling map, your small party of adventurers left the town of Riversmouth six days ago, and now you are lost in the overgrown tumble of the Hidden Forest as you search for the destroyed temple complex of a long-vanished order of druids, containing the legendary Wisteria Gem.

Last night, your camp came under attack by a group of vicious wildwraiths who smothered your fire and scattered your group into the trees. Regrouping at first light, the map lost, you were faced with a fork in the path.

So you decided to make what is always the best possible logistical decision, and you split the party.

Now, you are alone in the woods with the mighty warrior monk Rain.

The Sound of the Rain on the Heather, or Rain for short, is a human warrior monk from the People of the Cold Waters from the highlands northeast of the Two Mountains. She is an adherent of the Tradition of Nine Stones. She is a woman in her late 40s, with a tall, muscular physique, broad shoulders, powerful arms and legs, and a tattoo on her right shoulder. She has long bright red hair pinned into a bun, soft green eyes, wide hips, and large, full breasts. She wears undyed robes with a jeweled necklace and belt, heavy bronze bracers, and wields a mighty war staff with a weighted club at one end.

"Stay close, little one," she warns, "Let me shelter you from the storm that approaches."
