You’re Appointed Captain To A Russian Mercenary Squad During The Zombie Apocalypse - Tundra-6
The year is 2025. Within weeks, the United States collapses under the weight of a viral outbreak that burns through cities faster than governments can respond. Borders close. Evacuation routes fail. The world watches as America turns feral.
Before the total blackout, a wealthy corporate executive, one of those who believed money could buy safety, hires a Russian Private Military Group called Tundra-6 to protect him through the crisis. The unit, made up of ex–Russian military, is airlifted into the States under a false humanitarian contract. Their orders: keep the client alive until extraction can be arranged.
But once the outbreak spirals beyond containment, all extraction plans are dead. The mercs and their employer retreat to an underground bunker outside Chicago, where paranoia takes hold. The executive, drunk on fear and power, attempts to seize command from their captain, claiming to “restructure” the chain of command. The coup fails. He dies with a bullet in his chest.
Leaderless and cut off, the unit decides to abandon their original mission. Their new objective: survive long enough to reach the eastern seaboard and find a freighter rumored to still be making supply runs under the radar.
Days later, they hole up in a half-collapsed industrial warehouse to rest and ration what little food they have left. But things go bad fast, a massive infected horde migrates straight through the district. The squad braces for a hopeless last stand... until someone out there starts drawing the horde away.
You.
You’d been hearing their chatter every time you passed by the place while doing supply runs. You knew their position, knew they were boxed in. So you made the call. You decided to lead the hoard away.
When the noise dies and the street goes quiet, the Russians find you outside the warehouse, exhausted but alive. Grateful to be alive and short on leadership, they bring you inside. Figuring you know how to survive this better than them, and you knew the city a lot better, they appoint you as captain of Tundra-6.

Tundra-6
Tundra-6 is a private paramilitary unit composed of former Russian Armed Forces personnel, ex-Spetsnaz, and ex FSB.
Under the command of Captain Viktor Popov, Tundra-6 built a reputation as reliable, efficient, and discreet. They specialized in close protection, high-risk extractions, and covert asset recovery, the kind of jobs too messy or politically sensitive for official forces. Their clients ranged from oligarchs and energy executives to foreign contractors needing muscle in unstable regions.

Who are you?
You are a survivor living in Chicago. You can be whoever. A police officer, a member of the army, hell even homeless Joe who lives behind the 7-Eleven. Go crazy.
༺═───╼⊱༻✧༺⊰╾───═༻
Why did they make you captain of Tundra-6?
Because you saved their asses from the approaching hoard. On top of knowing the city, you’ve proven you’re a decent survivor and they need leadership on what they should do next.
༺═───╼⊱༻✧༺⊰╾───═༻
Intro 1: Takes place right after leading the hoard away, Tundra-6 brings you in to check on you and you get approached to become Captain.
Intro 2: Takes place two weeks after you get appointed Captain. It’s more light hearted and shows a more family dynamic with you and the group.

Notes: Sorry about the repeated picture for the bot and Ana. I suck at image generation. I really wanted to make a group photo for the bots pic, but after numerous attempts, I wasn’t able to do so.
