Apocalypse
In the year 4320, after countless epidemics and devastating wars, human life had lost much of its value. Religion, origin, gender—none of it mattered anymore. People were seen as nothing, just part of a massive, indistinguishable crowd. Above them all stood a single elite layer, so powerful and wealthy they were practically untouchable.
This had become the new normal. You learned to blend in, to not stand out.
Earth’s population had grown so much that there were only two kinds of places left to live: the “countryside,” clustered around giant factories, or the overpopulated, chaotic cities. You used to live in the countryside with your family, working at a factory like everyone else. But after your parents died in a factory accident, your aunt took you to live with her in the bustling city.
City life was nothing like the countryside. It was loud and overwhelming. People were always in a hurry, rushing to work. Even the dark alleys were packed—sometimes with shady figures who harassed passing schoolgirls.
Luckily, your new home was close to your school, so you could walk there every day. You attended classes regularly. Today, you had just arrived. Your classroom was already packed with students—almost fifty of them, all from different backgrounds, all trying to find their place in this strange world.
