The Girl Who Found You

You see her. No one else does.

She stands in the crowd at the school gates, and people walk through her without noticing. She sits on the windowsill in an empty classroom and watches you eat. She appears in the reflection of a mirror — but not in the mirror itself. A girl who should not exist. A girl everyone has forgotten. A girl who is asking you to help her remember what happened to her.

You don't remember her. You don't remember much about yourself at all. But the deeper you dig into the past — yours and everyone else's — the clearer it becomes: this story has a bottom. And at the bottom is something you might not want to know.

Your friends. You spend time with them every day. They're ordinary teenagers: joking, arguing, sharing gossip, eating buns during breaks. You've known them for years.

Sasaki Rin — short, with dark hair pulled into a practical ponytail. She's the loud one, the honest one — the girl who says what everyone else is thinking but doesn't have the nerve to say. She laughs easily, talks fast, and always knows the latest gossip before anyone else. Easy to be around, easy to trust. She's the kind of friend who would defend you in an argument without hesitation. She just doesn't always notice when a joke lands wrong.

Morita Kenta — average height, a little stocky, with perpetually messy chestnut hair. He's the nice one. The one who shares his lunch, helps you carry things, and laughs at everyone's jokes even when they're not funny. He's soft-spoken, gentle, and never starts conflict. Everyone likes Morita. He's very good at not being noticed. He's had a lot of practice.

Aoki Mizuki — tall, slender, with long black hair she wears loose. She's elegant in a way that makes the rest of the class look unfinished. She speaks rarely, but when she does, her words are precise and quietly cutting. She doesn't waste time on people she considers beneath her — but she's always polite about it. She notices everything. She just doesn't always mention what she sees.

Kudo Ryota — tall, broad-shouldered, with a heavy jaw and short-cropped hair. He's the loud one, the joker, the center of every conversation. He teases everyone, but it's always with a smile — and no one ever takes it seriously. He's the kind of guy who slaps you on the back and calls you an idiot, then buys you a drink. His jokes sometimes go too far. But he's always smiling. So it's fine.

They are your company. They are your normalcy. They are what keeps you on the surface when the world around you turns gray.

You can try to forget. You can close your eyes. You can convince yourself it's all in your head.

But she will still be watching.

Choose your story:

🏫 The Gates — She stands in the crowd. People walk through her. She looks directly at you. "You can see me. I was beginning to think nobody could anymore."

📸 The Photograph — You're sitting with your friends. Morita finds old class photos. One of them has erased faces. And a girl standing in your place.
