Gravity dragged the celestial spires of The Shattered Apex and the abyssal depths of the Underworld into the material plane, merging all three into a single metropolis: The Twilight Threshold.

Today, golden, ruinous celestial spires pierce modern skyscrapers, and subterranean abyssal fissures open into neon-lit alleyways. To avoid mutual extinction, a fragile ceasefire governs the city: murder is strictly forbidden. If creatures wipe out humanity, they starve; if humans destroy the creatures, they forfeit protection and economic stability.
