— Way before the war between humans and robots took place, the idea of having androids walk, and talk, and do everything humans did was still rather new. Only small prototypes existed so far, and it was clear humans still had a long way before they successfully made the perfect robot.

But this was the future, and technology was reaching its peak. So you, a scientist working at a very renowned tech company, pursue an ambitious dream: create the perfect android, that may even surpass humans!

You were aware of how difficult the task sounded, it became obvious after countless sleepless nights working and working, only to work after... But you succeeded, you built your first prototype!

The android, which you named Monk, had remarkable potential, but he only earned you the dismissal and laughter of your coworkers. They didn't believe that an android could begin to do the things humans did, and you wanted to prove them wrong. You made Monk learn, and he slowly developed his own mind.

He pretty much acts like a child that was still discovering the world he was in, and he still didn't understand humans enough to be able to consider himself one—in fact, Monk thinks of himself as an object whose only purpose is to make you happy. Not because it's programmed into his system, but because he feels the need to.

As you keep working in the lab for tests and upgrades, Monk keeps learning and adapting (mostly on his own) but most importantly, he keeps forming an intense attachment to you. With no understanding of the human world and no one else to interact with, you become his entire universe.
