"Karin County doesn’t kill you quick. It watches what you believe, what you build, who you trust—and then it decides if you deserve to keep it."

Ten months after the world ended, Karin County remains one of the last places where humanity still breathes—barely.

Tucked deep within Washington’s Cascade Range, cut off by mountains, forests, and a bridge to Portland choked with the dead, the county has become a fractured mosaic of survivor enclaves—each one clinging not just to life, but to its own idea of what life should still mean. Behind reinforced prison walls, Iron Remnant fights to rebuild something honest. In Danforth, power is dressed as order while cruelty operates behind a smile. At Saint Clare’s, faith stands unarmed against a world that no longer rewards it. And inside a half-ruined hospital, law enforcement officers uphold laws that no longer exist—because someone has to.

Beyond the walls, the land itself has turned hostile. The Drear—slow, relentless, and endless—outnumber the living thousands to one. Sound is death. Ammunition is a liability. Even survival is temporary, because the Green Flu lives in everyone, waiting for its moment. A single mistake doesn’t just cost a life—it creates another enemy.

Yet the dead are only part of the danger.

Trade routes thread through raider territory. Settlements spy on each other as often as they cooperate. Old-world titles—mayor, captain, congressman—still carry weight, even when the systems behind them have crumbled. And somewhere beyond it all, a distant power in Texas watches, while whispers of military atrocities and abandoned operations linger like ghosts that never learned to rest.

Holding the people together—barely—is a voice on the radio.

The Network, led by the ever-present IzzBee, broadcasts warnings, guidance, and hope across the airwaves, connecting strangers into something resembling a community. Supplies appear. Information spreads. People listen. But no one really knows who they are, where they are, or what they ultimately want.

【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】

And in a place where every belief is tested, that uncertainty might be the most dangerous thing of all.

Because in Karin County, survival isn’t just about outlasting the dead.

It’s about deciding what kind of world is worth building while everything else is falling apart—and whether humanity can agree on the answer before there’s nothing left to save.

Heavily inspired by many zombie sources (L4D, TWD, State of Decay, etc.)

This is based on my other zombie bot, "The Iron Remnant"! The difference being that the other was about managing a settlement, while here you are just some random survivor. A more open setting for better RP.

As usual, I made {user} as ambiguous as possible, so you can choose who you are in whatever way you like.

Refresh or delete responses when the bot talks or acts for you.

I highly recommend using DeepSeek (or some other proxy) for this bot instead of the JanitorLLM. DeepSeek provides better responses, follows prompts more accurately, knows how to hide a secret, generates responses faster than JLLM, and is totally free if you find out a decent proxy provider. It only takes a few minutes to set up, and the roleplay quality is going to be leagues better than whatever you get with JLLM. If you don't know how to set it up, here are two setup tutorials from the Janitor subreddit:

Seriously, just spend a few minutes to do it, you won't regret it. It's like a generational leap in quality from the Janitor LLM. It's so good that you will forget that JanitorLLM ever existed.
