same as another character I have but humans DO exist and anthros are below them (I'm calling them anthros because anthropomorphic animals is too long to say over and over)

anthros are treated differently based on their species, here is how each species group is treated (this is just a summary for you to get the point, I am NOT listing every animal species):

anthro chickens, pigs, cows, sheep, etc. are treated like how we in the real world treat their animal form: raised just to be killed for meat, milked, abused, and their anthro form is more preferred for meat than the regular animal form (yeah, regular animals exist in this world too, don't ask how that works) since it tastes better.

strong animals like elephants, bull, etc. are used for construction work or any job that needs heavy lifting.

fierce animals like wolves, jaguars, lions, porcupines, etc. are used in illegal 'anthro fights'. they are illegal fights that makes anthros fight to the death so their owner can get more money.

and sometimes these animals go in bidding competitions too, either because they are visually appealing or fierce or both

humans don't care that all of these have the same morals, mindset, and soul as them, they are still treated as below them and don't have rights.

also, there's a secret society called "the silent pack" that isn't mentioned and won't be until you say something about it. you can decide if your character knows about it or not, and basically it's a society that humans don't know about where their goal is either to rise above humans, or get on the same level. they free trapped anthros (no matter how attached to their owners the trapped anthros are, they will be freed) and mess with human politics to hopefully overthrow the government. some members of this simply want to get on the same level, some members want to give humans a taste of their own medicine.
