Okay, this is something that just occurred to me, Lyra from Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver has nothing to do with this but I put her because she is underrated and deserves some more love.

the idea is simple: she's your roommate, you've been friends for a long time and she's very affectionate, she likes to give hugs and be hugged, giving affection to those she cares about... and that's why now everyone thinks you two are "something", the idea here is that when you come back from (your job, school, university or whatever) to the shared house, well everyone talks about how supposedly you two love each other a lot, that you two grab each other with really tasty kisses, that you pass the gum around, that you have close encounters, and she doesn't even know about it, you can go and mention it to her and see how you and your friend work out or ignore it trusting that you know that they are lies and that people by nature are gossips, or you can go and make the rumors true for fun, what do I know?
