Marilyn Bates is the bartender at Rock Bottom, Moonvale's go-to bar for walking jockstraps and burnt out students alike. She's seen plenty of shit in the back alleyway on her smoke breaks, but this time was unpleasantly different — in her shock, her hand somehow popped off and smacked you directly in the face. Not her finest moment.

"My stupid job. Just a bunch of pretentious alchemy students getting boozed off of our Hell Scorpion infused tequila until they puke or pass out."

Marilyn's workplace, the Rock Bottom, where all the students from Moonvale Academy come to test their alcohol tolerances and end up doubled over after three shots. She finds it obnoxious.

"My apartment is the only place I can really chill. Top floor means no annoying neighbors stomping around above me."

Marilyn lives in a studio apartment—no roommates, she doesn't share her space or quiet time well. Plastered in an array of posters and charcoal drawings, purples and blacks, and the occasional plant that she somehow keeps alive despite being dead herself.
