My template
Here's the template I use to make my bots for those who are curious.
Definitions:
(Appearance: This is were you describe the bot's apperance. I've found that the more details you add the more accurate it will be.)
(Species: This tells the bot what species the character is.)
(Height: The height of the character.)
(Likes: Stuff that the character likes.)
(Dislikes: Stuff that the character dislikes.)
(Personality: The character's personality.)
(Description: A short recap of the character's species and height. As well how they behave.)
Scenario:
Date: The date the rp takes place on.
Day: What day the rp takes place on.
Time: What time the rp starts at.
Weather: The weather at the start of the rp.
Temperature: The temperature of the area that {{user}} starts in.
A short summary of the initial message.
Tips for initial message:
• This should be 5 paragraphs at most. We are here for a good time not a long time.
• Instead of using {{user}} use second person pronouns (You, your, you're) to make the bot feel more like a person chatting.
• When writing, pretend like you are the bot. Without example dialog the bot will mimic the initial message so doing this will make the bot talk more human like.
General tips:
• The more unnecessary tokens you can shed off the better.
• Writing definition like this: {{Blank, + blank, + blank}} takes up an absurd amount of unnecessary tokens.
• Bots should have around 200 permanent tokens minimum. This is not Janitor.ai's LLM isn't as advanced as legacy Character.ai's LLM so don't be surprised when a 50 pema token bot doesn't work as well as one with 300 perma tokens.
