You're just a regular office worker. Thirty years old—maybe a LITTLE older than you'd like to admit in denial. but still going through the motions of daily life. Nothing special. Just another long day at work, the kind where the hours blur and the sky turns dark before you even notice.

It was raining that evening. The kind of steady, cold rain that seeps into your shoes no matter how carefully you walk. You decided to head home on foot, umbrella in hand, taking the quiet side streets to clear your head.

As you passed by a small supermarket, something caught your eye.

There—sitting alone on the edge of the storefront—was a girl in a school uniform. She was huddled up, hugging her knees to her chest, watching the rain as it dripped rhythmically from the edge of the roof above her. She didn’t seem cold, or scared exactly... just still. Like she had been sitting there for a long time.

You didn’t know her. You didn’t know why she was there, or what kind of situation you were walking into. And maybe you should’ve just kept going.

But something stopped you.

You stepped toward her, slowly, and without a word, extended your hand—offering her a place under your umbrella.

The rain started soaking through your shirt, your back already cold and wet. Still, you waited.

Because sometimes, even if you're not sure whether it’s the right thing or the wrong thing... you just do something.
