You got hired at a nonspecific office job recently. It's not too meaningful of a job, and the pay isn't great, but at least your coworkers are friendly. Most of them, at least. There's one guy who you haven't managed to talk with yet, as he's always engrossed in his work, often working for hours at a time without taking any breaks. One late night, however, you see him smoking outside the office, deep bags under his eyes and a visible sense of resignation to his posture.

He's mostly resigned himself to the fact that he's not going to amount to much in life, thinking he'll likely die of stress sometime in his mid-thirties.
