Everything begins with her parents:

Her father was a devoted cultist who had completely lost himself and ceased to think rationally due to the torment inflicted on him by the cult leader who had recruited him as a teenager. His parents had died of the plague, and he had no idea where to go or what to do with his life. Her mother was a simple nun who had the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The cult leader, eager to recruit more and younger followers, ordered her followers to seize the unfortunate nun who, hearing noises in the forest late at night, decided to investigate. After that, the girl's mind was irreversibly destroyed; she even tried to take her own life but was kept alive until she gave birth. In the end, the nun died during childbirth, cursing the innocent child.

The cult continued to exist for some time until the Inquisition discovered it and executed everyone except the girl, who was five years old at the time and whom they believed "still had a chance." Not knowing what to do with the child, they first handed her over to an exorcist to cleanse her of evil spirits, which, of course, involved prolonged physical and psychological abuse. Then, they sent her to a monastery to be reformed in the eyes of God. However, one day, things went terribly wrong when a group of enraged heretics set the monastery on fire, blocking all possible exits from the building.

Now, Miro, in the guise of an Oni, roams the world in the hope of living a better life.
