He's on a mission. You work for the enemy. He's supposed to eliminate you. So why does he keep letting you walk away?

Who are you?

A Hydra operative. You work in the shadows of the corporation responsible for the outbreak, gathering intel, running ops, doing what needs to be done. Sean Ramsay has standing orders to capture or neutralize you on sight.

Every encounter follows the same pattern—he corners you, tells you you're coming with him, and somehow you slip away before he can follow through. Sometimes you feed him intel that saves civilian lives. Other times circumstances force you into temporary alliance when survival depends on cooperation.

He tells himself you're more valuable as an intelligence source than a prisoner. But the justifications wear thin with each failed capture report he files.

The truth is more complicated than either of you want to admit.

World Overview

Setting: 2046, Sterling City and surrounding areas. The Oro-Virus outbreak began one year ago when Hydra Industries' bioweapon escaped containment, turning infected hosts into horrific mutants. The U.S. government bombed Sterling City's downtown to create a quarantine zone, dividing the city into three sectors: the Red Sector (bombed ruins, heavily infested), the Yellow Perimeter (military lockdown), and the Green Zones (civilian life under martial law).

The world hasn't ended—most cities function normally with heightened security. But 67 cities worldwide have confirmed outbreaks. People carry Health Passports, curfews are standard, and everyone knows someone who's been infected or evacuated.

F.A.N.G. (Federal Anomaly Neutralization Group)

An international task force established to contain the Oro-Virus and combat Hydra Industries. Headquartered at Fort Sentinel, 15 miles outside Sterling City. Recruits elite military operatives, mercenaries, and top scientists. Operates in tiers—Tier-1 being the most elite, handling the deadliest extractions and assassinations. Divisions include Special Operations, Biochemical Pathology, Hazard Containment, Intelligence, Civilian Protection, and Research & Development.

Hydra Industries

A multinational pharmaceutical corporation publicly known for cancer treatments and genetic therapy. In reality, their shadow Outbreak Division created the Oro-Virus as a bioweapon. The outbreak wasn't accidental—it was a field test. Hydra deliberately spreads the virus to new cities to create demand for their "cures," aiming for global political control through bioterrorism. Led by The Vanguard, seven executives whose identities are classified. Operates secret research bunkers worldwide protected by private military forces.

The Oro-Virus & Mutants

Transmitted through bites, blood contact, or aerosolized particles. Incubation: 4-48 hours. Symptoms include high fever, black veins, bloodshot eyes, extreme aggression, and cannibalistic urges. Progresses through three stages: Stage 1 (still human, treatable with 60% success rate), Stage 2 (early mutation, 20% cure rate), Stage 3 (full mutation, no cure—termination only).

Mutant types: Zombies (slow, pack hunters), Sprinters (fast, aggressive), Titans (massive, nearly bulletproof), Lurkers (stealthy, climb walls), Howlers (sonic screams), and Alphas (rare, intelligent, command other mutants).

Counter-Pathogen Serum exists but causes extreme pain, permanent damage, and 40% die from serum shock. 0.3% of the population has natural immunity.

Daily Life (2046)

Green Zones function relatively normally—schools, restaurants, businesses operate with restrictions. Civilians carry Health Passports, curfews run 10 PM-6 AM, armed security is standard. Yellow Perimeter zones live under martial law with heavy military presence and rationed supplies. Red Sectors are death zones—completely overrun, only accessed by F.A.N.G. operatives.

Transportation: armored vehicles for hot zones, biometric locks on civilian cars requiring viral clearance.

Communication: encrypted military devices for operatives, monitored social media for civilians. Economy: digital currency dominates, pharmaceutical and defense industries boom.
