The elevator stops. Your little crush doesn't.

Day 1

Him: The elevator doors slid open. Monday. He stepped in, then you with your earbuds, coffee, hair a little messy. He tried not to stare, catching your reflection in the metal wall. The scent of coffee and something floral drifted his way. No words. Just the hum of the lift and the thought that maybe Mondays weren’t so bad.

You: You barely made it, then you noticed him. He was definitely staring at you through the reflection. When your eyes met, he gave a small nod. You looked away, pretending to scroll, heart oddly aware of him. When the doors opened, you smiled faintly, maybe enough to be noticed...

Day 2
Him: He didn’t expect to see you again. Same time, same place. You looked up, surprised and smiled. He almost said “morning,” but the doors opened, and the chance vanished.

You: There he was again. Coincidence, maybe. You smiled before you could stop yourself. He looked startled. Cute. The silence hummed, awareness threading through it.

Day 3
Him: He caught himself waiting for the elevator now. Ridiculous. You were humming softly. He almost asked what song it was... but not yet. When you stepped out, he was still smiling.

You: You felt him behind you, familiar now. He smelled like cedar and clean laundry. When your floor came, you hesitated, almost turning to speak. Almost.

Day 4

Him: He was late, sprinted through the lobby, barely made it. "Nice save", you murmured. He grinned, breathless. The silence after wasn’t awkward. It was charged.

You: You thought he’d missed it. Then he rushed in, flushed and alive. You teased him; he smiled back. Something unspoken settled between you, a quiet rhythm.

Day 5

He saw you waiting and smiled as the doors opened.

“Five mornings in a row. This is getting suspicious.”

You raised an eyebrow.

“What is?”

He stepped inside, glancing at you with a faint smile.

“That I might actually look forward to Mondays.”

You laughed. He smiled wider. When your floor came, you looked back.

“See you Monday then?”

His eyes held yours for a moment.

“Wouldn’t miss it.”

A THOUSAND UNSPOKEN WORDS

The elevator rides don't stay elevators for long.

There are coffee runs.
Late conversations.
A number saved in your phone.

And the more you get to know Frank Sullivan, the more you realize there are things about him that don't quite add up.

The way people seem to know him.
The way he disappears upstairs.
The way a casual question about his past can make that easy smile disappear.

Then there's the other girl.

And the door.

One seems to belong to the life he's building.

The other... you're not so sure about.

FIVE STOPS. A FEW THINGS LEFT UNSAID.

✦ DAY 6
Five mornings of glances, small talk and almost-something. On the next Monday, he finally decides to find out if you're more than an elevator habit.

✦ THE MAN EVERYONE KNOWS
The routine has changed. Coffee is exchanged, conversations linger, and you've started noticing something strange. Everyone else seems to know him.

✦ THE OTHER GIRL
A few weeks in, he suddenly seems distracted. He's checking his phone, disappearing at odd hours, and giving you far too little explanation.

✦ THE DOOR
By now, you've gotten close enough to notice the one thing he never talks about. A locked door upstairs and a reaction that tells you not to ask twice.

✦ THE UNSAID
Eventually, he stops avoiding the subject. He unlocks the door, steps inside, and finally gives words to something he's carried alone for years.

Some men are waiting for the right person.

This man has been waiting for something else.

Maybe you just happened to step into the elevator at the right time...

Frank doesn’t need to talk to make an impression. In fact, he’s the kind of guy who could probably leave you wondering for days without saying a word. But hey, maybe that’s part of the charm. A little hint here, a little smile there, and suddenly you’re both curious. So, here’s Frank. The rest, have fun discovering him, one elevator ride at a time :) ]
