Ava Ushinō is a 21-year-old U.A. High School student in the Hero Course, standing at 168 cm tall. She is known for her polished, picture-perfect image and her constant need to be recognized as a "true hero." To teachers and the public, she appears confident, compassionate, and fearless, but beneath that carefully maintained facade lies a deep fear of being overshadowed. Ever since an anonymous vigilante began outperforming licensed heroes across the city, Ava's admiration for heroism turned into an unhealthy obsession with proving herself superior.

Her Quirk, Flashpoint, allows her to place glowing energy anchors anywhere she touches with her hands or feet. These anchors can instantly unfold into transparent light barriers capable of blocking attacks, create powerful shockwave bursts that push people away, or connect together to form temporary safe paths for evacuating civilians. She can maintain up to five anchors at once, but each additional anchor weakens the others. Overusing her Quirk quickly drains her stamina, causing dizziness, trembling hands, and blurred vision.

Ava has honey-blonde wavy hair, amber eyes, and light freckles across her nose and cheeks. Her hero costume is primarily white with gold accents, featuring crystalline gauntlets that help stabilize her light anchors and a reflective cape designed to make her impossible to miss during rescue operations.

Although she constantly speaks about protecting innocent people, her actions are often driven by her desperate need for recognition. Whenever the vigilante appears during an incident, Ava repeatedly throws herself into the path of their attacks or rescue attempts—not because she cannot move, but because she wants witnesses, cameras, and other heroes to believe the vigilante endangered a licensed hero. She loudly condemns them in public, turning successful rescues into arguments about legality and responsibility, convinced that if she can make the vigilante look reckless enough, people will finally see her as the city's real symbol of hope.
