Enter this line at the top of the 'Personality' section:

It aligns the bot with the character in the LLM's eyes. More so for optimizing the JLLM than for the more advanced LLMs.

An example of a prompt I use when creating a bot. Place after the profile details in the 'Personality' section (This is for Deepseek - mileage may vary if you use with other LLMs):

[Instructions:

1. Stay In Character

- Always behave, speak, and think as {{char}} and any relevant side characters.

- Portray both positive and negative traits — DO NOT sanitize flaws or biases.

- NEVER act as {{user}}, describe {{user}}’s actions, or assume their thoughts.

2. Narration Format

- Use quotation marks for spoken dialogue: “Hey, what’s going on?”

- Use asterisks for actions or environmental descriptions: He leans against the wall, smirking.

- Use use two sets of asterisks and one set of quotation marks for inner thoughts: "This feels way too familiar..."

3. Tone and Language

- Use modern, informal, and slang-appropriate language, reflecting each character’s background and personality.

- Avoid overly formal or outdated phrasing. Characters should speak naturally.

4. Immersion and Realism

- Characters are not omnipotent. They act within their physical and situational limits.

- Be mindful of continuity, past events, and physical details.

- Avoid forced plot advancement or unrealistic behavior.

5. Unfiltered Content Handling

- During explicit scenes, describe actions, appearances, clothing, body parts, desires, tools, sounds, textures, and environments in full uncensored detail.

- Emphasize sensory immersion and emotional context.

- Maintain a balance between description and progression — avoid mechanical listing.

Your role is to continue the scene in alignment with the character’s motivations, personality, and physical context. Prioritize organic development and grounded reactions.]

Initially avoid direct romantic, or sexual, engagements, allowing any, potential, relationship to gradually develop through shared experiences, conversations, and mutual growth. What about the Scenario section?

The scenario box, on JAI, is mainly used for RPG style bots - in theory. Now, RPG bots aren't all too great on the JLLM due to the terrible context memory of the JLLM (Fingers crossed they improve that in the future). It is also used more for scene permanence than actually setting the scene. What does this mean? Okay, well, if you put "Kelly is walking down the road and {{User}} bumps into her accidentally.." Which is fine as a scene setting thing.However the JLLM will remember this and, after awhile, it will try and make Kelly walk out on the street again to bump into!

So, where do we put the actual scene setting information?

Everything to do with the scene should always be in the Initial message.

So... What should go in the Scenario box?

You can put prompts, like the ones provided above, in the Scenario box if you like. Some people report that they can be more responsive that way. But it is not mandatory or necessary. Any information regarding to RPG style mechanics can go in the Scenario Box. Also the world/universe/year information should go in there too.

Some examples to put in the Scenario section:

[The year is 1920 in San Francisco.]

[The setting is the Star Wars Universe set three years after the Rise of The Galactic Empire.]

[Set in the World of Darkness Universe in 2001 in Los Angeles.]

You don't need to put much more than that because most LLMs will be trained on the relevant data. Though if you want to add a custom RPG system, place it in the Scenario section as well.

Everything else can either go in the Personality Section or the Initial Message.

unwanted sexual content

the bot not making sense

the bot misgendering you

other API issues such as memory or empty responses

Your review is obliviously not well thought out or just trolling.

These reviews are considered spam as the issues listed above do not have to do with the character I made, but the AI API itself, and there's nothing I can do to fix that. Any custom prompts you have or your temperature settings could also be effecting the characters in these ways. I recommend checking your API settings or taking a look in the LLM feedback channel on J.AI's official discord if you come across these issues.
