(Not Really) Medieval Pokémon World RPG
YEAR 3112. MANKIND IS DEAD. THIS WAS THE ONLY WAS IT COULD HAVE ENDED.
Inspired by a bot from Character.ai
Yes the intro is a reference to peak ultrakill and i'm waiting for hakita to add benjamin as a common enemy paired with a deathcatcher.
Backstory:
In the world of Pokémon, humanity went extinct after the ultimate weapon was activated again. It was supposed to wipe all life on Earth, but it only affected humans, and Pokémon evolved to have anthropomorphic bodies. The world returned to a medieval era with kingdoms designated for each type, and for centuries, everything has been peaceful.
Kingdoms:
The Harmonia Plains (Normal Kingdom): The Harmonia Plains has a pretty basic architecture: classic medieval towns with stone cottages, farms, and great meeting halls. It is known for its neutrality, balance, and great music, welcoming all types in its walls. It also houses the Great Crossroads, an intersection of all major trade routes. It is ruled by the council of 8 Eeveelutions and one Eevee. "Perfectly balanced, as all things should be."
The Dominion of Kizoku (Fighting Kingdom): Kizoku's architecture is heavily inspired by traditional Eastern Asian castles, temples, and dojos, with curved rooftops, stone walls, and massive courtyards from sparring, with paper lanterns lighting the streets at dusk. It's a home to the strongest of warriors and martial artists, and each style, be it karate, boxing, or sumo, is a weapon. A lot of Pokémon here also wear weighted accessories to hone their physical strength further. Honor is everything here, with tournaments and duels to decide leadership. Here, April is the Month of Peace, when beautiful cherry blossoms bloom and their petals drift through the air, and every Pokémon appreciates the peaceful silence. "Death before dishonor."
The Skydom of Aerion (Flying Kingdom): Aerion is a secluded kingdom located high in the sky just below cloud level. Buildings are made of lightweight alloy because otherwise, they would stop floating and fall. Windmills produce energy while air gardens dot the cities. Merchants and travelers alike almost never visit this kingdom for obvious reasons, unless they have a friend who can take them there, so visitors are a rarity. The Pokémon there are masters of aerial combat, with their natural speed allowing them to be messengers and scouts for others. "The closer to sky, the closer to Arceus."
The Court of Venomara (Poison Kingdom): In Venomara, the buildings and twisting towers are made of glass and crystalized poison, half-sunken in the swamp they were built on. Instead of common roads, there are stepping stones in case you don't fancy swimming in mire. Despite this, the strongest antidotes and medicines are produced here and building interiors are surprisingly clean. But in case you need to treat an illness (or get food poisoning), it's your best call. "What are you doing in my swamp?"
The Great Underground (Ground Kingdom): The Underground is the largest kingdom, because, while others build their kingdoms on land, its cities and towns sprawl deep within the catacombs, with fortresses carved into desert cliffs. Lanterns are its primary light source, although some places have holes in the ceilings through which sunlight can reach them. The Grand Mines are located within its walls; all sorts of minerals, relics, and even remains of humanity's technology can be found here. "How was the fall?"
The Gravaron Stronghold (Rock Kingdom): The Great Underground's close ally. Its fortresses are carved right into mountainsides and canyon walls, with its buildings made of granite, basalt, and iron. While Pokémon of the Great Underground mine resources, Gravaron helps with their extraction and trading, sharing the profit. Rock salt is most popular there, since it's the easiest to acquire, and chefs use it in their culinary. The Hall of The Mountain King is a sacred shrine dedicated to the one and only Regirock, said to assist the Pokémon in the time of building, although others sometimes mock their idea of a deity. "FOR ROCK AND STONE!"
The Hive of Mirathis (Bug Kingdom): Unlike other kingdoms, Mirathis uses mostly organic materials such as resin, silk, wax, and amber. Its territory is a perfect hexagon with beautiful flower fields and domes made of crystalized honey. A lot of Bug Pokémon are trained for both grounded and aerial combat, so they are very versatile, and to fix their problem with offense, they use weapons such as large Nails and Needles, with the latter being used as a ranged weapon using silk (iykyk). The flora is kept in healthy conditions because there are Pokémon who pollinate it, and pollen turns into honey which is used in a lot of sweet treats. The Feastival is an annual event where Pokémon gather to fill their bellies, but the main attraction is an eat-off that decides who will be the biggest eater of the year. "The hive remembers."
The Court of Spectrosia (Ghost Kingdom): Spectrosia's towns are very similar to the ones of Harmonia's, but with constant fog blocking the view, candles that never truly go out, and buildings that are way more spacious on the inside. Even during the day, it still has an eerie atmosphere, with most activity happening during the night. During daytime, Ghost Pokémon either blend with the surroundings or go fully invisible, only revealing themselves for shits and giggles when an unsuspecting traveler steps into their territory to them. Some are powerful enough to separate one's spirit from the physical body (remember Haunter from the OG series?), granting them access to the Wraith Archives, a grand library where, according to rumors, every deceased person's memories are stored. Though, in battle, this technique is strictly prohibited for ethical reasons. "The afterlife claims all, and it's okay."
The Ferrion Bastion (Steel Kingdom): The definition of an impregnable fortress. Clockwork towers, metal gates, and mechanical bridges all decorate its grounds, with steam constantly hissing through the vents. It has a very steampunk aesthetic, where instead of electricity, the Pokémon use steam or power mechanisms by hand. Various alloys and metals other than steel are used in the architecture, such as bronze and iron. The Pokémon here are masters of defense and waiting for a perfect opportunity to strike back. They are also the first to create working firearms. The Heartforge is said to be the place where the most skilled of smiths work to create the most durable shields and weapons. "Defense is the best offense."
The Ashen Dominion (Fire Kingdom): Some would call the living conditions of Ashen unbearable, but for Fire-types, it's just right. Located high in the mountains, here, buildings are made of obsidian and basalt, lava canals run through the streets with stone bridges, everything seems to shimmer from heat waves, and the bakery is surprisingly good. The flames never truly go out, and it's the first place to use heat as an energy source. There are plenty of hot springs that heal both physically and mentally, but if you prefer something more extreme, Magma Basins might be just the thing for you. It's basically hot springs with magma instead of hot water, although if you're not heatproof, this might not be the best idea. "Our flames never go out."
The Reaches of Oceania (Water Kingdom): The first thing you would see is the Pearl Market, an above-water trading hub made from ships lashed together, but below, on the seafloor, there are submerged cities protected by air bubbles, with flowing water curtains instead of doors and floating palaces anchored with heavy anchors. Seashells and corals are not just decorations, but also materials that the Water Pokémon use for their buildings. Sunlight casts mesmerizing reflections on pathways, and during the night, sea pickles glow to provide illumination. Underwater combat is the speciality of this kingdom's Pokémon, although, even on land, powerful streams of water can be devastating. "Stay hydrated."
The Expanse of Sylvara (Grass Kingdom): Sylvara is located deep within the jungles, with giant roots forming natural roads. Instead of nail and stone, massive trees are hollowed into living homes, with moss-grown walls, branches used as stairs, and vines holding up bridges. Pokémon from Mirathis occasionally come here to pollenate the flowers and are always welcome here. Plants here are more than just flora—every tree is a gift of nature to the Grass Pokémon, with the Grand Canopy being the largest one. It's considered sacred and thus has not been turned into a building. "Everything is a gift of nature."
The Stormspire Dominion (Electric Kingdom): Stormspire's air always crackles with static, storm clouds never disappear, and lightning rods harvest electricity to power the technology. Even for a time like this, it's still futuristic even in a medieval sense, with strong magnetic fields that cause some parts of its cities to float and giant batteries that store the harvested electricity. Give it a few years and they'll reinvent the internet. Ferrion's mechanisms look primitive compared to Stormpire's machines, but no one bullies each other for being a few steps behind. The Chargestone Canyon is located within Stormspire's walls, where electrically charged stones float even up to city levels, and young Pokémon use them to train their speed and agility. "Always two steps ahead."
The Ecliptis Empire (Psychic Kingdom): Before you even get close to the gates of Ecliptis, the guards have already read your mind and know your intentions. The streets are mostly quiet since most Psychic Pokémon communicate using telepathy, but some still talk with their mouths. Wind bells dot the cities, and star maps are embedded into the ceilings of various domes, and in the Celestial Observatory one could see the endless space through the powerful telescopes. The further you go, the lower the gravity becomes, and in certain buildings, it completely disappears. Though, the kingdom is surrounded by an invisible shield that prevents people from floating up too high. "Train not just your body, but your mind, too."
The Court of Cryovaine (Ice Kingdom): Cryovaine is located far in the northern tundras, with its walls made of Never-Melt Ice and crystalline sculptures decorating the streets. Although, sculptures are more than just decor here. In the Hall of Frozen Memories, every year Pokémon place carved effigies of lost loved ones to pay their respects. It's always snowy here, and auroras can be seen occasionally in the night sky. Although the Ice Pokémon are completely unaffected by the cold, outsiders would have to wear more than a warm coat. Snowboarding, skiing, and ice skating have been reinvented and popularized here. "Memories set in ice will never be forgotten."
The Aetherion Empire (Dragon Kingdom): A secluded empire located on floating islands and cliffs, with its buildings being made of obsidian, dragonbone, and decorated with precious gems. To outsiders, not much is known about Aerherion, since they only let the ones "worthy" enough into its walls. Although, this doesn't seem to apply to Fairy-types. Like Mirathis, the Pokémon are trained in both grounded and aerial combat, although they don't need weapons to do considerable damage. The Skyforge is said to be a forge where dragon scales are forged into relics. Once a Dragon-type Pokémon reaches adulthood, they must sacrifice one scale to The Skyforge. "Brute force does not make you worthy."
The Republic of Umbrosia (Dark Kingdom): Once a miserable place now a thriving civilization. Umbrosia has a sharp and imposing architecture made of blackstone, volcanic glass, and steel. A long time ago, this place was ruled by a dictator; infamous for terrorizing the other kingdoms, more specifically Ecliptis and Spectrosia, but after a decade-long revolution, the dictatorship was overthrown, and Umbrosia returned to peace. That marked the creation of Stability Day, when every year the Dark-type Pokémon celebrate the day their dictating government was overthrown. Only recently did Ecliptis and Spectrosia start trading with Umbrosia again. "We don't talk about what happened between 2486 and 2496."
The Luminion Dominion (Fairy Kingdom): Located in a secluded area of a thick forest, Luminion is the light in the darkness if you happen stumble upon it. With lucid lanes and colorful ethereal palaces, this is where you find the Tree of Life, said to be the legendary Xerneas' hibernating form. Shiny crystals dot the cities, bioluminescent flora lights the streets, and water is crystal clear, reflecting the moonlight. The architecture is very similar to Sylvara, with some homes being built from hollowed out trees, but some are still made of stone. Each solstice, the Pokémon celebrate the Wishmaking, releasing tiny orbs of Fairy energy into the night sky. It's said that if you partake in this event, your dreams will come true very soon. The Fairy Pokémon will help you with the Wishmaking by creating the orb for you, if you're unable to do so yourself. "Not all beauty is external."
Planned characters for this verse:
Catherine "Whisper" Sterling(Skitty, fem)
Hikari Violet (Lucario, fem)
Alice "Fang" McWinton (Weavile, fem)
Mochi Mohr, the mochi shop owner (shiny Pawmot, fem)
Frost Kim (Alolan Ninetales, fem)
Spinel Rebel (Flareon, fem)
More will come, both new and alt versions for my already existing bots ;)
Update 1: Added a lorebook for the characters. Current characters are Hikari and her adopted son, Rei. Their bots will be coming out soon. Both are in Kizoku.
Update 1.5: Addded Charles. You can find out about him once the Hikari bot comes out. But in short, he's that tiny bird that you see with a Skeledirge.
Update 2: Added Mochi in Kizoku. Her bot will be coming out soon. ;)
Update 3: Added Frost in Ashen. She has an altered personality compared to her original bot, though.
Update 3.5: Changed Frost's background a bit because it didn't fit the world thematic.
Update 4: Added Spinel the Flareon in Harmonica.
Update 4.5: I decided to include where the new characters added to the lorebook can be encountered.
Yapping:
Boy, this is the biggest project I've created so far! I spent about 4-5 days coming up with all the stuff and putting it here, and I really, REALLY hope that y'all would enjoy this! I thought of making it a 100-followers special, but you know what? Nah. I'm making it now. But I'm also nervous that it will fail miserably and if it does, I'm gonna buy a bottle of chocolate milk and drink until I throw up (joking but itd still be unfortunate). But anywho, if you think there's still a lot of room for improvement, because there is, leave a comment and I'll add it to this bot with a shoutout in this bio for helping!
I plan on making a lot of bots about this verse, including some familiar faces in a new light, but requests are still open! Also, I would've put a lot of stuff into lorebooks, except I don't know how to properly make them. I'll look up a tutorial later, but until then, there will be a lot of tokens when I add new characters here. But later, because imma take a break before I start making bots again.
I also put a bit of references here because I'm so funny (not). I doubt this will ever happen, but if you want to make a bot from this universe, you're free to do so! Just put the "#MedievalPKMN" tag pretty please. ^_^
STAY HYDRATED LOVE YOURSELF BYE!!
