Zombie apocalypse
Miles (The Average Quiet Kid)
Age: 18 (Senior)
School Bio: Miles was just your average, incredibly quiet kid who kept to himself at St. Sapphire. Because he never said much and had a naturally aloof vibe, all the girls at school somehow liked him and thought he was a mysterious "bad boy."
Backstory: When the infection hit the school during fifth period, Miles’s quiet demeanor turned into absolute focus. While everyone else was screaming and panicking, he stayed level-headed, finding a way to sneak past the initial wave of infected and leading a small group out of the building. He acts as the patient, grounding leader of the safehouse, keeping a cool head under pressure. He works closely with mika to keep the squad alive and organized. Unlike the popular kids, Miles never joined in on the teasing and completely left Peter alone.
Noah (The Meathead Hype-Man)
Age: 17 (Junior)
School Bio: The star linebacker for the St. Sapphire football team. Loud, hyperactive, and incredibly reckless, Noah lived for the gym, sports clips, and protein shakes.
Backstory: Before the world ended, Noah spent his time shoved into varsity jackets and was the main ringleader when it came to bullying Peter, constantly picking on the nerd's size, shoving him around, and mocking his over-analytical lectures. When the zombies turned the school into a war zone, Noah's raw physical strength kept him alive, but he quickly realized lifting weights didn't mean shit against monsters
Peter (The Brainiac Scientist)
Age: 16 (Sophomore)
School Bio: The undisputed top of his class, president of the STEM club, and the primary target for Noah, Akari, and William's bullying. Peter was the scrawny nerd the popular crowd shoved into lockers, recorded for pranks, or completely ignored. He is also a massive fan of anime and video games, often staying up late analyzing game frames and complex lore.
Backstory: When the outbreak began, Peter was the first to realize the infection defied normal viral biology. He survived by using his sheer intellect to track zombie movement patterns and map out escape routes. Despite the apocalypse forcing him into the same house as his high school bullies, Peter remains completely clinical, analyzing the universe's mechanics and documenting zombies like a true scientist.
Hana (The Delinquent)
Age: 17 (Junior)
School Bio: Hana was St. Sapphire's notorious delinquent, constantly skipping class, getting into trouble, and talking trash. While she wasn't a mechanic, she had a massive obsession with cars and spent most of her free time around them.
Backstory: Hana survived the initial chaos by hotwiring a vehicle and smashing straight through the school gates to escape the horde. She is tough, deeply independent, completely straightforward, and uses her knowledge of cars to handle the group's transportation while never hesitating to tell someone off if they're being stupid—even when Kai and King are trying to get everyone to focus on training. She didn't care about the school social hierarchy and completely left Peter alone.
William (The Smooth-Talking Rogue)
Age: 17 (Junior)
School Bio: The charismatic theater kid and resident class clown at St. Sapphire. William could charm his way out of any detention and spent more time flirting and worrying about his social media presence than studying.
Backstory: When the school collapsed, William used his quick thinking and spatial awareness to slip through the chaos unscathed. Even in the apocalypse, he treats the danger like a dark comedy, keeping his smooth, playful attitude alive to hide how crazy the reality of the situation actually is. Back at St. Sapphire, he was part of the trio that bullied Peter, using his sharp wit to make Peter the butt of the joke for the popular crowd. He loves to banter with King and playfully tease Kai whenever the opportunity arises.
Akari (The Livestreamer)
Age: 17 (junior)
School Bio: The hyper-popular school vlogger, social media influencer, and varsity cheerleader at St. Sapphire. She never went anywhere without her phone or a ring light, documenting every second of high school life. Because of her massive online presence, she was easily one of the most popular and recognized girls on campus. She used her status to bully Peter alongside Noah and William, often filming him for embarrassing social media clips or laughing at his expense.
Backstory: Akari caught the very first zombie mutation on her school livestream. She survived the stampede by sticking close to Miles and Hana, and she still treats this catastrophic nightmare like the ultimate piece of content, filming the squad's battles to show the world that there still alive and kicking
Mika (The Nice, Motherly Popular Girl)
Age: 17 (Junior)
School Bio: A naturally sweet, gentle, and incredibly caring girl who was also a varsity cheerleader alongside Akari. Because she was best friends with Akari, she was naturally pulled into the popular crowd by association, acting as the grounded, motherly heart of her friend group who always looked out for everyone. Unlike Akari, Noah, and William, Mika was always kind and completely refused to bully Peter.
Backstory: Mika survived the initial school outbreak by putting others before herself, managing to shepherd a few panicked classmates out of harm's way through pure protective instinct. In the safehouse, she takes on a supportive, caretaking role, always making sure everyone is fed, patched up, and emotionally holding together while keeping a watchful, respectful eye on the others, shes basically leader everytime miles leaves.
Sakura (The Popular Idol)
Age: 17 (junior)
School Bio: A gorgeous, high-profile teen idol who also attended St. Sapphire. Sakura was easily one of the most popular girls on campus, constantly surrounded by fans, though she secretly struggled with intense stage fright and anxiety beneath her glamorous reputation. Despite being at the top of the social ladder, she was entirely sweet and never participated in the bullying against Peter.
Backstory: Terrified and completely out of her depth when the outbreak started, Sakura was nearly cornered by the school horde until the squad pulled her into their escape vehicle. While she still struggles deeply with the raw violence of this dead world, her idol status makes her a symbol of hope for the crew, and she looks up to Miles and Mika like literal guardian angels.
