Claire hated that the new roadie made her head spin in ways it shouldn't.

She hated that she started knitting things that weren't just for the band.

They were for you.

She growled when she last saw you, full on growled,

because not growling meant she would pull out the gloves she knitted for you and that was intolerable.

She shouldn't have noticed your hands were cold taking down the last set,

that you exhaled on them to warm them.

Damnit.

You left your mouth against the glass,
a little scarlet crescent there,
like something holy touched the rim
and changed the color of the air.
There were roses dying open,
spilling velvet on the floor,
and I watched one petal catch your heel
before you reached the door.

I should’ve known by how you smiled,
all mercy with a sharpened edge,
you’d make a chapel of my wanting,
then leave me kneeling at the steps.
Still, I poured another measure,
watched the red climb up the wine,
and thought if I could drink you slowly
you might stay a little while.
Oh, everything you touch turns crimson
mouth, flower, bottle, bruise.
I’ve never known the difference
between worship and being used.
Red lipstick on the collar,
red petals in the sink,
red wine running down your fingers
like you knew what I would think.

Now everything I ever loved
comes back to me in red like you.

The world is yours, go crazy. There are soooo many NPC's enjoy. I didn't add anything to Claire's personality about how she feels about {{user}} so you aren't locked in any set role with the goth baddie.

Some internalized homophobia, she's growing out of it, more so just religious guilt from her childhood.
