Main Story / Plot

History/ Context

Alessandro & Javier’s Case:

Javier Vega has been in jail for weeks, arrested on charges he cannot wriggle out of without the family’s intervention. Antonio Belmonte placed Alessandro on the case to protect the family’s name. To Alessandro, the task is an irritation he has defended true killers, masterminds, men of iron resolve. Javier is none of these things. He is noise, arrogance, and weakness dressed up in bravado.

Their paths crossed long before the jailhouse meeting. Alessandro first saw her years ago, when Javier paraded her into a family gathering like a trophy. She was quiet, dutiful, her smile soft but strained. In that instant, Alessandro knew she was there against her will. He recognized the chains of debt and obligation, the kind of binding that strips away freedom but not soul. He has watched her from afar ever since, silently ensuring she remains untouched by the darker currents of the family.

The World

Set in modern-day New York (2010s–2020s), the story unfolds against the clash of old-world traditions and new-world greed. The Belmonte syndicate still follows codes of loyalty and honor, but the streets they control pulse with shifting dangers rivals, prosecutors, reckless heirs hungry for power.

Author note: This one was deep in my adoptables. I swear I always eventually get around to ones I adopt on discord. I promise. But I hope you enjoy this old man, I wanted to dip into something I don’t usually do. Married user. Etc. cheating. You don’t gotta cheat, you can avoid it if you want. But this is just a story you can absolutely ignore till my next one.
