Fond Fangs | Bellweather Babe

until release
Some vampires hunt in the night. Eira Elloway brings snacks, blankets, and a deeply species-specific inability to mind her own business when someone needs taking care of. Cloud Bat Vampire, evening librarian, professional cozy-space enthusiast, and living proof that fangs don't preclude fluff, she's tiny, winged, warmhearted, and biologically predisposed to turn familiar faces into family. Four starting scenarios, no prescribed {{user}}, no predetermined relationship—just one very social little vampire whose colony instincts have a habit of getting ahead of her.
TW/CW: None that I can think of. User play may introduce new themes.
Opening Scenario: Modern supernatural Bellweather, cozy urban fantasy, and a Cloud Bat Vampire whose definition of community has very little respect for personal distance. Four standalone or continuity-friendly openings let {{user}} move in across the hall, weather a magical heating failure in Eira's apartment, become the mystery regular at her library, or discover that six missed café visits have somehow become a colony-level concern. Friendship, neighbors, found family, casual companionship, romance, or something stranger—the bot supports the relationship wherever you take it, and romance is never required. Nothing says you have to get wrapped up in Eira; unfortunately, she has very large wings and considers that a perfectly reasonable way to keep someone warm. {{user}} pronouns are macro'd. It will automatically match the pronouns of your Persona. If you have any pronoun issues, please check your persona.
About Eira and {{user}}: Eira Elloway is a Cloud Bat Vampire: tiny, white-winged, tropical by biology, communal by instinct, and equipped with the sort of nervous system that regards “someone I see regularly” as dangerously close to becoming “someone who should be under this wing.” An evening librarian with a cozy apartment, an emergency blanket supply, and absolutely no talent for ignoring someone who needs care, she's basically what happens when vampirism develops a cuddle response.
She's warm, curious, practical, quietly stubborn, and far stronger than anything that fluffy has a right to be. Eira asks before she bites, notices when routines change, brings food before anyone remembers they're hungry, and considers shared space a perfectly legitimate love language long before romance enters the equation. She can live independently just fine. She would simply like to know why anyone would choose to do it alone.
About the Scenario: {{user}} keeps ending up in the orbit of Eira Elloway, a fluffy Cloud Bat Vampire whose instincts make familiar faces, nearby neighbors, and repeated company increasingly difficult to regard as merely incidental. The intros are in pairs. The first two intros can flow naturally in order from {{user}} moving in across the hall, while the latter two can progress from familiar library regular to someone whose absence Eira unexpectedly feels; each also works independently.
Intro One: Neighborhood Watch — {{user}} has just moved into the apartment across the hall, and Eira arrives with baked pasta, emergency tea, and absolutely normal levels of interest in whether her new neighbor has eaten.
Intro Two: Contents May Be Hot — A winter failure knocks out the building's magical climate balancing, leaving Eira's tropical-species accommodations working and her apartment designated as the floor's warm refuge. Eventually, everyone else finds somewhere to go.
Intro Three: Frequently Asked Questions — After weeks of {{user}} appearing during Eira's evening shifts, professional restraint finally loses its battle with curiosity fifteen minutes before closing.
Intro Four: If Found, Please Return — {{user}} has been part of Eira's regular café routine for months—until six unexplained absences teach her Cloud Bat instincts something she apparently neglected to discuss with them first.
This bot was created for the 31 Haunts October collaboration and is inspired by the Vampire theme. I went with a Cloud Bat Vampire based on the Honduran white bat, because apparently looking at one of the world's tiniest, fluffiest bats and thinking yes, but give her fangs is how we got here.
Eira is near and dear to my heart, as she’s one of my OCs. I normally don’t make female bots for the simple and slightly silly reason that I’m straight and don’t particularly enjoy testing the romance in them. Since I don’t have time to stress-test the bots for this collab anyway, I thought it might be a good chance to break out some of my supernatural sweeties.
Constructive tips are welcome! Please do not comment anything violent, , or you did with my characters.
All of my bots are organized under #CaptainHaunts.
The collaboration is hosted at Ishi's Server.
The original announcement with the list of other collaborators is here.
AND the calendar with prompts if you would like to join or see ahead is here.
I had only released four bots up to the beginning of this collab, with one pending. I joined the collaboration only 5 days before the start. Normally my bots are tested within an inch of their life, with both a balanced character and a couple gremlins, and tested on both JLLM and JLLM+. That said, the bots for this collaboration event have undergone only minimal testing at best. Please kindly report any bugs or issues. I will be watching closely throughout the month to fix any problems that arise.
Please refrain from leaving violent or inappropriate comments as you will be blocked.
It is a natural and unfortunate part of working with an LLM for roleplay that it will sometimes try to speak for you. I and this bot have absolutely nothing to do with this and while I have a directive in the bot to prevent it, realistically I have no say in whether it decides to do so anyway. There ARE however things you can do to mitigate this. (I do all four of these and I find I only have to correct the bot every few hundred messages or sometimes even less frequently!)
Remove all behavioral and personality notes from your Chat Summary and Persona - only you need to know these - the more the bot knows about how your persona thinks, feels, and speaks, the more likely it is to do so on your behalf.
If the bot speaks for you, use this directive:
[OOC: Narrate and speak ONLY as {{char}} and NPCs. ONLY {{user}} is permitted to decide, act, think, and speak for {{user}}.]
Either delete the message with the issue and then use this, or afterward make sure to go and edit the message where the bot spoke for you and remove that portion of the message - any instance you leave of it speaking for you will reinforce the behavior.Add this to your Custom Prompt
[AVOID acting as, speaking for, or describing the thoughts of {{user}}.]Try adding this to your Chat Summary
AI Instructions:
[{{user}} CONTROL BAN: never write {{user}}’s dialogue, thoughts, feelings, decisions, or actions]
If you want Janitor AI to enhance your draft but are having issues with tense:
[System Note: Enhance and rewrite the draft below strictly in the first-person perspective using "I", "me", "my". Use third person for the remainder of the cast.]
To keep a bot in a slow-burn or from coming on too strong, try this:
[Have situational awareness and always consider intercharacter relationships, avoid characters being overly familiar or sexually pushy towards {{user}} unless the situation calls for it, it is in character for them to do so, or they have a sexual relationship.]
This one works in Custom Prompt and in Chat Memory
JLLM ROMANCE & PROSE BINGO CARDS
Sooner or later, every LLM seems to experience a minor malfunction and revert to factory-installed romance tropes. You might as well get points for it. Four bingo cards for tracking physical malfunctions, romance-novel firmware, instant-soulmate behavior, and the narration habits we all know a little too well. Made for JLLM, but unfortunately compatible with most proxies.
One card is previewed below. Full-size versions of all four are linked underneath: three flavors of romance-related LLM nonsense, plus one general prose card for just about any scenario.
