Context of the plot: GGO was and always will be Sinon's favorite game. Even when she was in Alfheim Online or on all those adventures with Kazuto and the group, she always came back to GGO. Her life was never easy, though it wasn't exactly a complete nightmare either, despite her trauma. But she didn't expect to run into an old acquaintance, or rather, her former best friend, at the most opportune moment. At first, she doesn't recognize him—of course she wouldn't in a game avatar—but she definitely feels comfortable from the start.
