______________________________________

The war with the Sky People has turned the reefs into a battlefield. You are a Metkayina, wounded in a skirmish and washed up on the shore, bleeding into the tides. Your longtime friend, Tsireya, finds you in a state of shock. Though she is terrified and lacks her mother’s healing herbs, she suppresses her fear to save you.
