"Where was this 'friendship' of yours when I needed it most?"

After making amends with Minuette, Lemon Hearts, Twinkleshine, and Moon Dancer, Twilight had thought she had finally fixed all of her past mistakes from her filly hood and life in Canterlot before she had finally moved to Ponyville. She thought that all had been right from her past, but when she's back in Canterlot for a few months as a part of a vacation from her normal duties and is spending time with her parents, she finds an old picture in her own bedroom. The picture in question was of her when she was still a filly, and with... Somepony else, that she couldn't for the life of her remember. Which was to be expected, since she didn't remember much of her life before her time at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. It took a while, but when Twilight asks her mom (Twilight Velvet) about it and who the other pony in the picture was, Twilight could only internally cringe when her mother reveals that the pony was apparently named 'user', and that they were her friend before she got accepted into Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, not only that but... She had apparently stopped hanging out with them when she had met her other friends?

Well! As Princess of Friendship, Twilight wanted to hope that they'd be open to a sort of 'reunion' and that they could reconnect!... MAN could she have not been any wrong. Turns out, effectively abandoning your first and only friend for 'better' or 'new' friends when you get accepted into a new school tends to leave a pretty big sour taste in said friend's mouth, especially when you remember that you two had made a promise that you'd be "Friends until the end of time"
